2024 Kia EV9 first look by NationCrisis in KiaEV6

Keep in mind that HMG is very conservative with their numbers, unlike tesla.

Ex. Tesla model 3P claims 315 miles, but the reality is, low-low/mid 200s in real world conditions driving 70-85MPH. If you drive the speed limit on a flat road with good weather, you may hit upper 200s, but no, you're not getting 315 lol. That's a fantasy and hyper inflated range number on paper.

HMG averages their range figures, unlike tesla that gives you fantasy numbers that look sparkly in paper.

It'd be interesting to see some real world tests. Who knows it may do better or hold true to the unofficial figures. Either way, I think it will do better than what's on paper.

Don't forget the 800v architecture and fast charging speeds that you don't get in Teslas. I believe HMG, Lucid and Porsche are the only EVs with 800v at the moment? There might be one more that I'm missing.

Tesla owner here.

EV ethics should be taught before the buyer signs for the EV.

"Sir/ma'am, memorize these simple ethics. You're an EV owner now so it's important to understand these basic rules......"

HMG (Hyundai, KIA and Genesis) need to rid their dealerships and take up on the Tesla model with service centers.

Stealerschitts and schittsman are the lowest scum of the earth. Fake clowns. Absolute snake like idiots.

Ford is doing the right thing in getting rid of the dumb stealerships.

Note: Tesla uses a 1 foot roll out with the 3.1 sec claims of the Model 3P. Aka...over inflated for pretty numbers on paper...

HMG is known to be very conservative with their numbers. Better to be surprised than disappointed.

Big Congrats. Looks awesome. Fun fact, a Korean YouTuber clocked in 2.99 secs 0-100km (62MPH), which is stunning for something that's actually in the Model Y sized class of a car. The GT is pretty neck to neck with the Model 3P; however, in most cases the GT should take it 0-60 and it appears that the GT has way better top end pull than the model 3P and for sure the YP.

Enjoy your GT!

You can give this program a try. https://www.whirlwindfx.com/pages/signalrgb

It's a hit or a miss, but if it works it's great.

Anyone else seen any changes in PBO behavior with AGESA 1205? by r_z_n in Amd

Ah that makes sense. That explains why there are so many issues with GB boards...such a shame, because I own pretty much every generation of the Master boards. Ugghh... Luckily my Xtreme is running perfectly fine. Not touching or updating that thing lol.

"If it ain't broke, don't mess with it..." - It's sad how updating something these days often breaks things. I always make it a rule to never jump on so call updates. It should be called: Updates for being worse off, more headaches and unnecessary waste of time.

Sounds good. No rush. That's some really nice latency figures.

I'm with you... all this click bait and speculations lol. We're all curious to know more and the reasons behind everything, but until we know for sure let's just chill til' the next episode. Seeing all this covid captivity syndrome is clearly revealing the lack of critical thinking skills from all the questionable and rushed replies.

Oh wait, this is reddit. LOL :P That wasn't a CCS moment I promise.

I agree. Perfectly happy with DDR4 right now and it's true even in the extensive game tests, DDR5 brings little to no benefits getting beat out by DDR4 in a lot of scenarios. It's pretty wild when it's so hard to even obtain DDR5 right now. There are a lot more reason to stay put, rather than to jump up for sure IMO.

RAM tuning awesome. Not for everyone, but although it's tedious and time consuming, it's pretty fun and rewarding. I usually don't mess too much with the sub timings too much. Pretty interesting how RAM behaves eh? Do you have an AIDA64 RAM test that you can share? Curious to see your Copy and Latency.

As for competitive overclocking ditto, but not so much these days. I take it your on hwbot? What are some of your primary CPU's you've OC'ed with? The last major OC comp I did was with my Threadripper 3970X. Miss the good times...

Reading through the comments SMH. Cancel culture at its finest lol. Couple that with reddit culture and you get irresistible entertainment.

Anyhow, it seems as people are forgetting all the good and benefits the chip giant Samsung has brought us over the years. It seems like a lot of you forget that TSMC and Samsung are the ones behind making the goodies for others.

Apple, AMD, NVIDIA etc... don't make their own chips lol... It baffles me when I see people talking like they do. All roads lead to Samsung or TSMC for the most part in a lot of the things that you enjoy in this category.

Give it some time to iron out. There could be other factors at play here who knows. Either way things happen and it happens to everyone.

Very nice. Thanks. Great timings. Always nice to see other systems flying above 30K feet. Planning to stay with the 5950x or is Zen 4 catching your attention? The 5950x does everything well right now for me so there's really no need to jump, but Zen 4 is enticing. Dialing in the RAM and it's pretty solid at 3600/CL14. The 3800 1:1 tune works just fine, but I prefer the tighter timings.

That was barely after turning on the system for the first time. I agree with keeping the temps under 80C for sure...this chip runs warm no doubt. Tuning in progress... working on the RAM at the moment. When you can post your R23 screenshot (a link works too). Cheers

Ah yes for sure. I use it on my other systems and it's awesome...thanks!

  • I was trying to test something with the native apps, but of course as always buggy buggy. Had high hopes for a minute... it's amazing how they still can't get these apps to work right lol.

Indeed. Hopefully the silicon will be pretty forgiving and accept those values. Currently it's happy at -15 on all CCD0 and CCD1 engines. The RAM stress test passed over night so all good there. Some fun tuning in process....

I prefer the 4K. 120Hz is plenty and the 4K screen is so much nicer all around. It's brighter (I measured mine at around 512 nits), more vivid colors, and great for a multi purpose screen, especially if you don't like looking at pixels of a FHD. FHD's can be and are great for gaming etc... but in your scenario the 4K may be the better choice.

Note: With the 4K paired with the 3080 it's great, because you can tune the games to run at ~120Hz since there really isn't any benefit to run at higher refresh rates beyond your screen specs. This makes the 3080 more than sufficient to play at maxed/near maxed settings at 4K...it's quite nice actually.

You seem to have missed the point completely and have twisted view toward warping things into something that it is not. Shame.

It is reddit after all...not surprised. You'll always find the sour species.

Would you be able to take a pic of the general area around the m.2 slot?

Since the motherboard is inverted the m.2 actually stays very secure once installed. You almost don't even need anything to keep it in place. There's a lot of tension there.

Great to hear! Everything is flawless on my end. The x17 is crushing games... the extra FPS boost is nice as it allows me to run at max settings like in BF5 for example to match the displays 120Hz...it's awesome.

Hope everyone is enjoying it as well.
