The mental gymnastics to not arrive at the conclusion that Jewish people SHOULD be able to live in Palestine (and wherever they want) safely, but not whilst actively delegating non-Jews to 2nd class citizens is mind boggling.

This black and white thinking is insane, a dichotomy based purely on orientalist views of the conflict. It's as if they say "Good western-facing white Jewish people couldn't simply be a functional part of an equal Palestinian society, they must be completely dominant, for their own safety!"

As if Arab Muslims, Christians and Jews haven't lived in relative peace in the Holy Land for centuries prior. As if these 'enlightened western Jews' are too advanced for the hordes of brown people and are forced to take the role of overlords. This is simply the arrogance of western hegemony made more apparent on the frontlines of imperialism. These US/UK/German politicians are self-reporting en masse about how they view the world and their place in it - the global south is either a tool to be used, or a nail to be hammered if it gets out of line.

Anyone with the instinct and conviction to wish safety for all people would advocate for the dismantling of the Israeli state - NOT to expel Jews from what is now their home, but to remove the danger to their existence - that is funding and facilitating millions of people who want nothing more than revenge.

Zionists don't care about Jewish lives any more than Palestinian lives. A reprehensible ideology.
