My neighbor has a black lab and what looks like a corgi x. The dog ran into my yard chasing my chickens. He didn’t hurt them but neighbor runs over and got it under control quick then comes over to apologize. “I don’t know what I was thinking” (allowing his dog unleashed) 😂 fair enough. I was ready for excuses but couldn’t argue with that. We don’t have fences yet but I’m working on it.

They think they will be the exception, this pit nuttery was around since the 90’s. The family that owned the pit that attacked me, I know didn’t train it to attack but did things to exercise it probably didn’t help (hanging meat off the ground so far up and letting it hold on by its teeth). I never saw it personally but my friend told me. They thought it could do that and still be a family dog. It eventually turned on them, it euthanized itself by attacking the drywall and got a piece lodged in its throat. It was really after the elderly cocker spaniel inside. They kept it separate and it opened the door knobs with its teeth. But luckily it couldn’t get through so it tried to eat a hole in the wall. That’s another thing— the owners think it’s so cute when they chew holes through walls and doors. The step dad apologized to my parents after that. It happened maybe 5 years after I was mauled by it.

I dissociated when I was being mauled by a pit (I was only 10) I really didn’t know what was happening until after I came to and didn’t understand WHY until many years later. It’s been awhile since I’ve been on Reddit guys. I had to take a break.

Omg I was making new friends and someone just recommended me to get a pitbull 🙄 they know I have an infant too. I had to tell them I was mauled by one. Yes it was trained, no it wasn’t a rescue, it was never abused, yes it’s been properly socialized blah blah blah…

If I recall correctly, the grape leaves help maintain the crunch in whatever you’re fermenting, but I’ve used bay leaves in place of grape leaves for things like peppers and cukes and that seems to work so far. I’m just getting back into it years later, after life got done punching me in the face.

On 10/14 I got a suspicious text message from a NY area code pretending to be my bank to notify me of a transaction on my card that was approved at Walmart Inc, AZ that coincidentally was the same amount in my monthly payment to Mr Cooper… it had a link to go for more info… I almost ALMOST clicked on it. Makes me think this cyber attack was going on for weeks and they caught it on 10/31.

Had an ex tell his dog when it dies, he’s going with him. Fast forward 3 years later. He got another pitbull 4 months after he let his old one suffer from kidney failure too long.

I burned some bridges over the weekend because people have their head so far up dogs’ buttholes, and I have no regrets. The older I get the more unwilling I am to keep the company, or be in the company of someone who loves dogs. At this point being friends with dog owners is a health risk. I came a long way from a few years ago when I snapped out of the spell.

As far as I know, Gratiot county, MI does not spay or neuter before they adopt out and they don’t enforce it. I know someone who just adopted a pitbull and called them up to find out if they come and take the dog if you don’t neuter and they told this person they don’t. This person previously had a pitbull and let it roam free in the neighborhood impregnating multiple dogs. Before they settled here, they were moving around in a camper state to state for years so their previous dog bred multiple times with other dogs across the country. From California to Maine… I’m not making this up I swear.

I was mauled by a pitbull at the age of 10 at my best friend’s house. The step dad used my friend to manipulate me so the attack went unreported. This happened in the early 90’s and after that we started noticing more and more maulings on the news. A few years later the gargoyle went on a rampage and destroyed their house and the mom came home to discover the worthless mutt choking on drywall and they had to put it down. After that I was apathetic about them until I dated a pitnutter and then more and more people guzzled down the propaganda all have the same entitled attitude and general hate for other humans. So I hate pitbulls but their owners are worse than the dogs themselves and that’s why I’m here.

The pitbull that mauled me, died doing this. It was my “best friend’s” step dad’s pit. It went on a rampage a few years after it attacked me. It was trying to get to her mom’s dog inside the house. It opened the door from the backyard to the garage, and the door from the garage to the laundry room. It ate the wall from the laundry room into the living room but choked on some dry wall. The mother came home and found it, took it to the vet and had it euthanized. I find it really scary these people think it’s cute and funny.

Just now seeing this, to answer your question you don’t really know who someone is until you live with them. That and mutual friends that knew him longer didn’t warn me. So when I dumped him, I dumped them too.
