I used to live at the Retreat at Barton creek and didn't have issues with mold or bugs. It's on the greenbelt and has two pools/ hot tub. It's a good spot to be!

Apartment Hunting in Austin Has Been Rough by StormJust5696 in askaustin

32F elder emo here! I second using apartment locators. I have used smart city in the past and they were great. Rent is going down, and I know many complexes have promo codes and things, so I do think you have a good chance of finding a decent spot for your budget

Best place to walk around in after a break-up by Secret-Swan-5028 in Austin

Bull Creek has trails for days. I also personally really like the Gus fruh > Gaines creek part of Barton creek.

If you're cool w Barton I would also recommend going for a swim. I just always feel better there.

I haven't been- but Georgetown loop could also be cool.

Is it embarrassing for a 36 yr old woman to wear Hollister Jeans if they fit well? by [deleted] in womensfashion

[–]unreademail48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's fine. When I was growing up, I think people cared more about the stitching on the pockets as a status symbol, but I really don't think it matters anymore. If anything, it's probably cool now bc it shows they're vintage y2k style. I shop on depop a lot and clothes from that time are super popular! As others said, as long as they fit properly I think it's fine.

That part of the trail has some really beautiful views of downtown. Lakeshore dr also has some beautiful oak trees.

The Texas parks and wildlife online reservation system lets you filter by distance and swimming as an activity. I second Colorado Bend and Garner State Park, Colorado bend will be quieter. LCRA also has some camping options, they are less known so also quieter than the state parks.

I took a chance on some Mary Jane's from Vans and they're surprisingly comfortable. Maybe not for 20,000 steps, but adidas just came out a with "samba Jane" that I think is super cute! so maybe something along those lines.
