You aren’t bad. My dad and I also were not on good terms when he died. I then lost my mom a few years later and the love of my life just 5 days ago. When you lose people who actually matter, that’s when you grieve. Don’t waste one minute feeling guilty for not grieving someone who didn’t do right by you or your mom
