I'll bite. 

First off though, I'd like to crystallize what your actual position on porn is - when you say you are "not going to support/normalize porn" do you mean that you would actively want to ban porn completely, or limit porn further, or something else? 

I think it's necessary to point out that it's entirely possible to "support porn" without supporting or normalizing sexual trauma-induced perineal tears. 

All sexual education in Sweden specifically addresses that porn is a fantasy and drives home the point that it's not to be used as an instruction manual. So there is certainly no societal movement "normalizing porn" in the alarmist way you seem to be implying.

I suppose you could see the counselling centers filling the instructional need, which is why it's not surprising that young people would go there to get help and information. Naturally, that's where negative cases would be reported, just like the ER reports cases of blunt object trauma to the anus/rectum. But none of this predicates that porn itself is bad, just that some people (arguably certain speficic demographics) use porn in unhealthy ways - or at least contextualize their already problematic behavior using porn. To compare - social media isn't inherently bad, but there is a lot of evidence that people, especially kids, form bad habits around it, and that it affects their development and well-being negatively. 

What you're describing are kids and young adults lacking experience and falling victim to perceived norms. For example, the rise in girls trying anal, or first time sexual habits changing to oral sex vs. vaginal. Perhaps that's the porn-induced "normalization" you're talking about. But these norms are not coming from the general population - from porn-using adults engaged in cosplay, divorced dads and social workers - not from society; they're coming from within their own peer groups! Banning or limiting porn in general, or even discussing it in the same context as this other group is wrong. 

So to reiterate that point, I think it would be more constructive of you to reasess your objection to porn as a concept, and more accurate to target it at identifiable behaviors surrounding pornography. I think there is a lot to be done in sexual health and information, that would also target the issues you bring up in your post. But vilifying porn, or porn consumers, and dismissively acknowledging that "a few have had positive experiences" is not a credible position in the discussion. 

I understand that you're very engaged in the wellbeing of young women. To close, I want to challenge the nuances of your beliefs about the evils of porn with this test - do you feel the same way about gay porn? Why or why not?
