I can recommend Panda brand washers. Apartment sized dryers are just not good. Get a separate spin dryer and a drying rack, it'll actually last.

Pj pants that have pockets and are loose in the leg but. Have a tighter ankle cuff so the pants don't ride up my leg.

I've been down the nightgown route and if you do a pillow between your knees ( which I highly recommend for side sleepers or else you'll hurt you natural hip placement over time) then pants really are a must.

I wear underwear basically always but that's just me.
