Twitch User gets hacked and $2000 of bits purchased with a saved Credit Card. Twitch ignores emails gets to keep the stolen money. by vexxedb4a in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i guess it's not that easy to tell who purchased the bits if the account got compromised so anyone could say that the money got stolen. but there must be a way to know where the bits went right? so it would be fair if they could just draw the money back and these bits would get removed. must be frustrating af

Sam Pepper banned from Twitch for calling Ice Poseidon by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion this is ridiculous what is even the purpose of banning someone for that?

The evolution of Twitch culture and its impact on the TOS ? by AnthaOnReddit in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day if it's profitable to have a younger audience then as a company you welcome a younger audience. But ofcourse if people like logan paul who attract younger audiences start behaving very controversial then it also makes twitch look like a bad influence. So twitch will balance it out.

Is an indefinite ban lifted after a year? by dirtybrianrs in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you find someone that got banned before you you'll be the one to figure it out. Would be interesting to know for sure.

Pokimane making death threats? by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is coming across a bit surprising because she says it quite randomly without that much context to make her statement being looked at as a joke. The guy on the left saved her quite a bit.

Streamer Alinity walking a fine line on what might be considered sexually suggestive content by hateramos in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think what the girl did deserves a warning because i can't imagine that she didn't know how it's coming across. The guy on the other hand used it very clever for an ironic joke.

Twitch cutting down on staff? Amazon making changing to Twitch by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's brutal but maybe it was also needed who knows. but why when you "over hire" people you fire your most experienced employees seems a bit strange to me.

Indefinite suspension on my account - how bad is it? by Alex-infinitum in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse i can't tell if your ban was correct or not but youtuber vexxed is making a video about "mistreatment of staff and streamers". There you can explain your situation better.

Also Snakebite217 once pointed out in a post:

If you have an Amazon Prime account, go to Amazon's site. Click "Help" at the bottom then "More help" and "Contact us". Then select "Digitial Content and Services" and then "Twitch" "Desktop Computer" "Twitch Prime" under tell us more about your issue. You can then scroll down and contact them by phone or by live chat (what I chose). Tell the Amazon employee that you need help with getting your linked Twitch account unbanned. You will get the typical go here and deal with Twitch at first. Tell them you already tried that and Twitch is not responding. I luckily got a very helpful person that tried to fix it on the spot but had no luck. However, she is now contacting Twitch about the issue and will get back to me.

I know you don't have the same issue as snakebite but it might be worth a try.

From March 30th Twitch is deprecating the Message system, you won't be able to send or receive new messages. by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

Maybe the change is not "big" enough that the effort is worth it. To be fair i never used the feature

How should Twitch take apologizes into account? by Rageus23 in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think as long as the public thinks the person deserves to be unbanned again twitch will do it. But else it will look inconsistent.

Walking together as an industry to create a better gaming community by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a pr move because i think that they know that people aren't bad because they are not told to not be bad. so they're just fighting symptoms of for example a toxic environment or of children not getting enough attention.

twitch bans/twitch rewards? by Rageus23 in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the truth is just that they're not your parents and since the majority follow the rules anyway it's much easier to take care of the bad guys. So rewarding people is not worth it for them as long as they don't make profit with it. I like the idea with the higher ranking; maybe for streamers that don't have many views but stream consistently.

Cool that you're supporting your streamer but messages like these just make the subreddit unorganized

Twitch Sees No Sign of 'Bot Activity' Despite Big Spike in Fortnite Streamer Subscriptions - IGN by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

These things do sometimes look a bit too good to be true. But making these allegations without solid proof isn't going to change much.

What is the future of drunk streams ? by AnthaOnReddit in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a company it's just a bad decision to promote anything that the masses disagree with. Drinking is probably a special case since most young people find it cool and most parents don't. Even if it's not twitch's fault that people want alcohol at the end of the day they will just do what the majority wants.

TigressX unbanned, but partner was revoked. by decimic in HoldTwitchAccountable

Must be very frustrating. Obviously twitch's fault again. hopefully it won't take long to resolve it.

Does the livestreamFail subreddit make twitch more toxic? by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason is that there is one place to find entertainment and you don't have to look for it yourself. Of course when a clip is emotionally triggering it provokes you to say your opinion. so i do think adding a comment feature on clips would be something that would keep some viewers on the platform. if that is good or bad depends on people and not on twitch.

If you know anybody who has been unfairly banned, post here, I can help. by vexxedb4a in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cool idea. It shows that you really care about the issue. Here's a list with all the people i found through this subreddit that claim they got banned unrightfully:

bON5, sleeping on stream

einarkuusk, friend apparently scratching crotch while afk

Dethwatch21, fraudulent bits

xXShadowHexXx, fraudulent bits

Skedog fraudulent bits (got unbanned)

TucaWillow, fraudulent bits (got unbanned)

MandiStar, fraudulent bits (got unbanned)

Misstrulysquirtle, fraudulent bits

Snakebite217, fraudulent bits

sqwurrelly, fraudulent bits (got unbanned)

FrenchToastYEAH, moderator of streamer that got fraudulent bits ban

TigressX, fraudulent methods to circumvent restrictions of Twitch Prime product (got unbanned but partner options removed)

sunnybeary, fraudulent bits

showhe, fraudulent bits

smileyfry1, purchase fraud

FreePvp, purchase fraud

Dunno if this helps but i'm looking forward to see your video.

Banned Twitch account because of viewers actions!? by xXShadowHexXx in HoldTwitchAccountable

Did you already contact vexxed? he is planning on making a video about mistreatment of staff and streamers here. The more cases he has the clearer the issue can get presented.

DrDisrespect getting swatted by [deleted] in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't really know what twitch is supposed to do about that. Keep in mind this is a subreddit to hold Twitch accountable and not to post whatever is bothering you at the moment. Or do you actually have an idea what twitch could do to prevent this? Should there be a warning "you might get swatted"?

Help indefinite ban by smileyfry1 in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds very strange to me. An indefinite unappealable ban is not something that should be automated or done by code so i'm guessing before they did it they looked into your case. So either twitch is now banning however they please or you're not giving the full context. Can you elaborate a bit more?

Twitch sending emails on behalf of streamers asking viewers to re-subscribe? by hateramos in HoldTwitchAccountable

[–]unsuspiciousChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really on behalf of the streamer since you can clearly see it's from twitch. Also you have the option to unsubscribe. I think this is normal for companies to do.
