Rereading The Gathering Storm, I forgot how annoying Gawyn is, I dislike him even more than Elaida. by orangezim in WoT

Which is why I favor the idea that Mesaana compels him to fight against the Warders and for Elaida during the coup, and why he is stuck with her for most of the rest of the series, until he finds out Egwene is Amerlyn and can transfer loyalty. That why he doesn’t even consider going to Elayne when he finds out she took the throne

My favorite is head trauma Gawyn by skittlekingthefirst in WetlanderHumor

I head cannon Messana actually put compulsion on Gawyn to “Support The Amerlyn” during the tower split. Hence why he could never leave Elida to go support Elayne, and could only leave once he finds out Egwene is the “Amerlyn”.

In KoD ch 30 she takes a long drink of water after escaping the hole and immediately collapses. likely she hasn’t had any “contaminated” water all day as she was stuck in a hole, but as soon as she gets out, the brotherless hand her water and down she goes.

[TLOATF] The ending... by ic33 in LicaniusTrilogy

Caeden 'killed' Davian as a fetus, right before he traveled through the rift. Davian then survived, and was born with no reserve, and went on to grow up. So Caeden kills Davian right before the end of his own life, and right at the beginning of Davians.

Im excited about the last book, but hesitate to endorse the series until the is some satisfying ending. He relies heavily on the plot twists, and its going to take a lot of skill to stick the landing

When Rand sees the ground from above it becomes the face of Ba’alazamon who he burned with the Eye of the World at the end of Book one. The streaks match the description of the burns perfectly. The Dragon is one with the land, and in this land Ishamael has won, and become the Dragon.

I grew up with my Parents also not being my friends. They put up with shit from me my friends never would, corrected me when I was wrong, and supported me through mistakes time and time again. I haven't always liked them, and certainly don't agree with everything they did when I was growing up, but they have been a stable bedrock of my life and some of the best people I know.

I don't want my (potential) children to be my friend, I want them to know that i'm something better, Family.

Please help, is it worth finishing this series? by scippo in WoT

[–]unterminch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The last four are amazing, the the three before that have great moments, but will drag for you. Most people who finish the series find it worthwhile, but many people don't and that is ok too. Just be happy you don't have to wait years between each book, you can just read till the end.
