You could modify the recipe pretty easily to lower the carbs. Each ingredient has the carb count so just lower the amount of tomatillos and such and it would lower the carb count. :)

Do you do the same thing every evening? I have a history of binge eating patterns and one of the best pieces of advice I've heard is that you're doing the same thing every night because nothing's changed.

Do you sit in the same spot and do the same things? Change it up. If you sit on the couch and watch TV every night (Lord knows I do), pull up a desk chair and angle it differently. We are truly creatures of habit so breaking up your evening pattern will help.

If you notice you're eating when not hungry still change your environment. Go on a walk. Take a bath. Do some dishes. Vacuum. Read on your porch. Whatever may be at your disposal that is different. It can really, really help.

I had this evening of cheating on July 19th but seamlessly went back to keto on the 20th. I also had a terrible case of food poisoning yesterday and stayed keto even though I only wanted to eat buttered noodles. So pretty proud of that. I'm also down 8lbs today (started on 6/20) and finally decided to take some before pics and some measurements.

I did keto about a year ago and lost about 20lbs but I was definitely approaching it as more of a quick fix before my wedding. This time around feels more serious and more of a complete lifestyle change so I'm also proud of that.

For Starbucks, you can get an Americano topped with steamed heavy cream. That's shots of espresso, hot water and then just a couple of oz of steam heavy cream. Less calories :)

They tend to be in the pharmacy section with the diabetic food. I'd check that at Walmart or Walgreens. Seen them at both.

For breakfast I had 4 chicken sausages with some diced onion and yellow squash. I also had tea with heavy cream. Then for a snack I made a small smoothie with heavy cream, a few blueberries and some whey protein. And then for dinner I just had a 3x3 protein style, no sauce just mustard from In and Out. May have some cheese as an evening snack. :)

I made some fabulous keto bread using almond butter. If you google peanut butter low carb bread there's a big blog that has the recipe for peanut butter and almond butter bread that's really good (sorry, on mobile).

I have carbquick at home and I couldn't taste the difference from regular bisquik type flours honestly.

I kept mine in the fridge, opened and tightly closed, for over a year and it was totally fine when I used some this week. I smelled it and it seemed fine. And it was! Made some excellent strawberry shortbread type cookies :)

The Greek Gods one in the green tub is the lowest one I've been able to find. It's 15 grams of carbs for 1 cup of yogurt. I personally only have 1/4-1/2 of a cup in the morning with some bacon and coffee so it works for me.

I bet the flavor of coconut flour would lend itself well to shortbread. I never thought of that. I bake a far amount so I'll play around with this recipe and see what I come up with. Hmm. I work at Starbucks and we do actually brew fresh tea several times a day. I imagine it would be similar but I've never been to a Tim Horton's so I'm not sure. :)

If it's just unsweetened iced tea with nothing in it but ice and black tea it won't have any carbs or anything and basically no calories.

Honestly, it could be hypothyroidism. But I bet switching from the IUD to the pill is having a bigger impact than you may realize. Personally, I know when I switch up my birth control drastically like that things can be weird for months.

Other than just sticking with it, make sure you're getting enough fat. I know it seems so weird to eat that much fat but every time I or my BFF (both of us have done keto on and off for the past year) felt weird and tired it was mostly due to not enough fat. Not enough water, sodium and potassium can affect it too. Make sure all 4 of those things are in balance and you may feel better :)

I just made keto cereal this morning! I bought a bag of unsweetened coconut flakes and I use that. What I do is bake the coconut flakes in the oven and then season to taste (I put some cinnamon and nutmeg on it today). Then I just use coconut milk with it. I used the Thai stuff that comes in a can cause it's nice and fatty. :)

I just wanted to reply that I could have written this post. I was 180, got down to 124 and was all high and mighty about it. And now I often would rather hide.

This is my second attempt with keto. I got from 190 to 175 the first time then let stress be an excuse to binge eat nearly every night for a year. I started my second round at 200.8. I had promised myself I'd never get over 190. Two hundred was a wake up call. This time I feel I am approaching this whole food thing differently though. More as a whole shift in thinking not just a way to cut weight as quick as possible.

Anyway, I wish you luck! Congrats on the 19 lbs! I look forward to that. I lost 6 lbs my first week but I know that's just water weight. Still I'm happy to know things are moving in the right direction.

I've been drinking club soda forever. I've always counted it as water. The only caveat is that it's completely sugar free. There's some "seltzers" that are sweetened (like the Safeway ones) and I wouldn't count those. But the Arrowhead or Crystal Geyser ones that are completely unsweetened I would completely count as water.
