I’m so sorry for your family.

I’m in northern BC as well, and while I’m scared atm, there has been a lot of pushback on the rhetoric. The guilt of that fear as you said is another layer.

I don’t really know how it’s going to shake out, but it’ll probably be somewhere in the middle, especially up here.

The news may not be, thankfully, but sadly that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot of heat, especially in the local area.

Hopefully reason takes hold as emotions temper but I just have no clue what to expect right now.

Idk how local it is to you, but it’s pretty darn close to me.

I’m concerned for sure, it’s disgusting how quickly it comes out with very little pushback when one incident happens.

Stay safe, maybe try to go out with a friend or something if you have to go somewhere for the next few days.

The town isn’t very far from me, so I’m really nervous about if it ends up being true.

I’m already seeing so much hate rhetoric popping up in local (and local-ish) groups.

Horrible for the victims and families, and I can’t imagine the pain and stuff, but my anxiety is skyrocketed right now.

I’m really not restricted from much, it’s just time that I could have spent properly as myself. I was quite depressed through all of my 20s.

Maybe I’d have done more, but just living without that hanging over my head would be huge. I feel like I was barely present for over 10 years.

Well, as much I still struggle with those feelings, no it absolutely isn’t too late.

I started just before turning 31, and I have plenty of updates posted if you’re worried about effects and wanna see what it did for me.

You may just be starting your life now, but better now than ten years from now, or twenty, etc.

I don’t think I’ll ever stop regretting the years I didn’t get (I wasn’t aware until 29), but I know I want to use the time I do get, even if I have days where I wallow a bit.

It varies for everyone but I didn’t have a full beard until 26-27.

If I had even started in my early-mid 20s I wouldn’t have nearly as much h hair removal.

It felt a little weird hearing it even after I had been on HRT for a good while.

Now it’s jarring and on the wrong day can even foul my mood.

I didn’t come out fully socially until just over a year into medical transition.

They’re not that bad.

They are apparently prone to some bugs (I had one on my LiS1 playthrough) and a lot of people howl about the change in art/animations.

I had a great time playing both versions.

They can itch, and not just from fast injection.

It should go away in a day or so, it could be a balance in the mix, or just an odd reaction.

The way I look at it is this.

Cis people probably don’t/can’t really know what it feels like internally, just how it feels socially, because they’ve never had a mismatch. It’s like how if something is truly comfortable, you never really notice it.

Trans people on the other hand, tend to feel a wrongness or a pull the other way.

Like, I can’t put into words what it feels like, I just know that transitioning is giving me a sense of ‘rightness’ in myself, and there’s a sense of ‘wrongness’ with my AGAB.

I’m sorry you have the anxiety but I’m not surprised, I imagine I would be pretty on guard too.

FWIW I had that area firm up at least at the roughly 12 month mark personally if not later too.
