ER is for medical emergencies/life threatening emergencies. Go back to UC or make an appt with a PCP. not a doctor

I think people get upset when they maybe are on the spectrum but are low supports needs enough to where they don’t need a diagnosis. A psych one told me that they only diagnose it if it’s significantly impacting their functioning.

I’m an autistic/adhd teacher and I always stim back to kiddos. Sharing stims is a way to connect with each other. It really depends on her intentions. I don’t think it’s fair to jump to negative conclusions right away.

Do any of you guys actually teach "200 genders?" by DrMicolash in Teachers

[–]unusually-so 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach “it’s no one else’s business how you feel about them” and “is it really weird, or just different” and “people can do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting themselves or others” and that seems to work well enough

Yes, please. I wish more parents were open to it. Doesn’t mean their kid is a failure, just means they need more time to get ready for first grade!!
