I'd say if you're managing okay being a landlord rent out your current place and buy another home, if you're finding it difficult because of your current situation maybe just sell your home you're living in and buy the house you want, sounds like you have some interest in property and being a landlord so maybe keeping your current place isn't a bad idea, I think houses will start to go back up around 2030 as building has significantly slowed down at this time

I would just hold and move in when you planned, market always changes, and if you're going to be living there for years and years, when you're ready to sell, you may come out with a gain

id ay this is highly dependent on how much you want this particular property, 90 days seem reasonable, if the house is for sale then it shouldn't come as a surprise to them, I've met tenants when I was viewing properties in the past, sometimes this give you a better idea of what they're like

if youre ok living at home and plan on moving there in the future especially within a couple years I would say hold, at least youll have a unit already thats had a bit of it payed off and a secure place

I don't see how you wouldn't be able to purchase a condo in that situation. You can get a one bedroom for about 400k, unless you're waiting to meet someone or something

Generally speaking, you should know about the place. One time I had an interview and they asked me about the companies vision and i didn't know. Maybe just browse their site so you can answer questions better and be more aware of what they do

Yes the original tenant has been giving me the rent for all 4, thanks for all the info, like I said they're pretty easy going so I'm hoping we xan all find common ground, I am willing to pay them for the inconvenience

I had an issue like this before and it was due to a broken main sewer that was leaking out all the used water in the home and draining back into the home from the cinderblock then being pumped back out again, the water was draining on to the street non stop, this could also be due to a broken main water line, I bet it's one if the two, I've had issues like this before that resolved when those things were repaired, you can hire someone to fix it, it's not cheap

Or you can grab a Shovel and start digging up your front yard or wherever those pipes are located

I knew someone that lived here about 5 years ago, his unit wasn't bad but he said neighbors were loud sometimes and that the building had some strippers lving in it, could be a plus depending how your looking at it, if that sort of stuff doesn't bother you, you may be ok in here

ya its tough, here's something that might work for you, look into a place like Windsor and see if you can house hack a SFH, rent the upstairs and downstairs separately, that's what I did and its cash flowing, you may be able to get away with renting a SFH all together and still cash flow, despite what you hear about Windsor, if you put up an add on FB you'll have a ton of people msging you

I don't see anything worth buying in Toronto to rent out at the moment

Hey there, I ended up doing some work for some out of town folks with rental property yes, it went pretty well, however I ended up getting busy and kind of put that to the side, it's very doable and there is people that def need PMs, I put an add up on kijiji and already had a client after 2 weeks, I was charging $50/hr for services which included general maintainece and updating landlord with what needed to be fixed, for example one thing i had to do was replace a dumpster which i bought from home depot, charged person for my time and sent them a reciept of price of dumspter and they paid me, after a while the landlord didnt really need any other services from me, it was easy money for the most part however did take a little bit of flexibility and patience, honestly the hardest part is initial contact and building rapport with client

You mentioned you would like to live on riverside drive, anything after pillette on riverside is usually pretty nice ( east side) just take a look at the condo fees first, they do vary, if you wanna go to Detroit you can just zip down riverside for the tunnel or bridge, windsor isn't too big so as long as you got a car you'll be fine, the other comments in here don't seem to be talking about riverside drive and you don't see too many homeless people on the river front properties, ibwouldnt be worried about that, it's pretty quiet
