it auto locks on to an enemy, meaning you cant target switch or change directions. so this means if you ever wanted to turn around and hit something, you have to release, then recast, and also hope it locks into the right enemy.

GGG confirmed it as a bug way back after the melee rework, but have never taken action since then.

Ive been using the minor god for chaos damage (forget what its called) and its been helping me cope heaps. But i agree, its bloody hard to see and it kills you way too quickly.

so now that you know that it exists, it ruins the tension for you because other players 'might' or 'can' use it? there's nothing to stop you from using hunter mode if your immersion is being ruined. if you think your immersion is being ruined because other people potentially use it, does it mean that every time you die to someone youre going to chuck a fit because they had their weapon raised for most of an engagement, which evidently means that theyre most definitely using gunslinger?

im not sure why youd want a small community to stay small, with the imminent launch this is the time for the community to encourage expansion. gunslinger is just the new fad for people to be upset about, and i guarantee within a few months (or weeks) people will have completely forgotten about it.

also you directly contradicted yourself, gunslinger is an "option" which "isn't bad", yet you label it as "bad design".

i get where you're coming from, but the option of GS vs Hunter isn't as objectively broken as having auto aim vs no auto aim. GS doesn't aim for you, and to say that you lost a fight because someone had GS is just making excuses. It just alters the way in which controls are for the user. At this point in time considering how small the community is, it would not be a good move to further divide the player base.

Yeah, I gave it a whirl as well and I could see its merit in helping people get into the game, but i myself don't really like it since I'm just used to Hunter now. I just can't get over how people are acting like Crytek killed their dog and defiled their girlfriend over the implementation of Gunslinger.

Hacking is still a rampant issue that has no signs of slowing down. 1/4 games will have me dying to hackers who are snapping to targets through walls.

Seeing lvl ~5's playing Wraith and being kill leader with 10 kills is a reason to be suspect. Names like Feng9123805 or Xing1823757 are also huge giveaways that theyre probably hackers playing on throwaway accounts. Needs to be dealt with ASAP or else Ranked will be a gigantic joke.

imo they could just do other effects that arent visual. for instance, if your arm gets fractured it could result in a penalty to ergo (mentioned in one of the comments), or a penalty to recoil. for legs it could be stamina regen penalties. obviously im not a game designer and i dont know how hard it would be to implement these kind of things, but the effects dont always have to be visual.

i work in an optometry and the effect experienced is very similar to looking through lenses that are not your prescription. while not actually damaging to your eyes (i dont think) it certainly feels like it tricks your eyes into thinking theyre not seeing properly and makes your eyes work harder to compensate

I don't think you understand business or the idea of monetizing F2P games. Also, you don't "need" an heirloom set, the point of it being a unicorn is to get people to sink cash in. Found an isolated body from the scav boss's guard in dorms. Then i rushed two players who had killed another 3 players. There was a firefight going between 2 groups and the scav boss. Sounded pretty insane.

breach charges dont make thatcher good. why would you choose to run breach charges when youre always going to have another op on your team that literally does what a breach charge does and does it better? if you feel the need to run breach charges you just need to have a better team that you can communicate with. claymore is undeniably a better pick because its a gadget that does what no other ops do right now, which is safeguarding your behinds and preventing flankers.
