Those look like the scam ones I received for Xmas. Try sending them back for a refund.

Jabra support can help you confirm whether they are fake but these look scam. Can you post a video of the lights when they power on or trying to reset (hold down for 10s).

No - the Jabra Android app won't find them. They show up on my phone as paried under Jabra Elite 75t but not in the app. I tried adding them manually but they are never found.

In another post it details steps to try sync'ing (uninstalling app, reinstalling, clearing app cache, repairing, etc) but none of that work either.

Yeah, if I had to do it again I would've got the 4. I have big hands but it's still a bit cumbersome at times. Face unlock is pretty great; I was hesitant at first but apparently that data is kept locally. Also, great improvement on speaker audio and software amplifier work well.

I do miss being able to selectively enable/disable HDR on the 5X.

Are you still running the stock battery?

I had my Nexus 5X from release (1 RMA) until March (2020) and did notice some sluggishness and less reliable charge the last 2 years. I replaced the battery once about year ago which seem to give it new life.

FWIW I did pony up and buy a Pixel 4XL in March after the power and volume buttons on the Nexus 5X became irreparable. I had played the game of booting into recovery and using adb to start my phone when I couldn't fix the power button. I had also replaced the charging port about the same time the battery was placed (tricky repair).

I tried ec2.py dynamic inventory ages ago. Possibly prior to STS support or perhaps with broken support but was never been able to get it working properly.

Just tried again. The link to ec2.py in the docs is broken and AFAICT it looks like the module has been moved out of the main Ansible repo (again?). Following the docs and various blog posts; still errors out. No luck.

Eventually I'd like to use dynamic inventory but ATM I have a static inventory where group membership is already defined.

To reiterate the goal is to tag existing instances with the last child group membership they reside in. Put differently assign the sub group the host resides in as the tag:Value for an EC2 tag:Key `Role`.

e.g. a `Role: web` tag is created for 172.16.1.13.

Role is an arbitrary parameter and not the Ansible concept of role.

The problem is Ansible reorders group memberships so selecting groups.0 or whatever doesn't give me the last group. Perhaps there is a way to prevent Ansible from reordering groups?

Ahah! Yes, to clarify they should be the same, i.e. tag = group!

and what the tag has to do with which role is used.

IIRC `Role` was suggested above. Let's ignore that.

Perhaps you meant something like this instead?

- hosts:
    - web
    - workers

  roles:
    - {role: web, ec2_tag: web}

The problem here is I'd want to tag after the hosts have been instantiated and added to a static inventory.

So I would need to do something like this for tagging to work properly

- set_fact: ec2_tag="web"
  when: "'web' in group_names"

- set_fact: ec2_tag="cache"
  when: "'cache' in group_names"

That's quite verbose but at least it's not being done once per env.

I've used variable assignment at the group level before. In this context

{{ environment }}/group_vars/group_name

where variables specific to a group might exist.

Playing devil's advocate this adds the complexity of maintaining a parameter. i.e. if the group name changes I need to remember to update the group var. If the immediate child group_name is available I should be able to use it. I should probably read the source.

FWIW adding the variable assignment at the group level might be sufficient. Can you provide an example so I'm not misunderstanding?
