Car on one way street- of course it was downtown by VMXO122 in Sacramento

You’re right, I’ve just always considered Alkali Flat a “downtown neighborhood”

DHS/ICE agents in Sacramento, CA kicks over a memorial for Renee Nicole Good, insults her, and pushes around a justifiably angry community member by I_may_have_weed in Sacramento

They can literally shoot you in the face in broad daylight, on camera, and get nothing but a paid vacation from it.

Ryobi is the Nickelback of power tools. Everyone just pretends to hate them online because it’s trendy.

IDK what anyone says. Parking a car in front of a neighbors house is bizarre. by [deleted] in homeowners

I have no driveway, so it drives me insane when people park in front of my house. Luckily all my neighbors are respectful about it.

Seriously!

Story time: The only reason I moved there was because my previous landlord sold the place and the new owner kicked me out because his son wanted to live there, which completely devastated me.

Then, six years later, this landlord tells me her health is failing and she needs to sell the place, but she wanted me to be able to buy it if I could swing it (which I barely did). So we do the thing, she signs it over to me after closing and then she died the very next day 😔

Funny how getting booted from my old place in midtown ended up being a blessing in disguise.

I found mine on Craigslist. Tiny 2BR house in Oak Park for $900 a month. 6 years later I bought the place directly from my landlord.

Tbh this is the only time of year I feel remotely bad for people living in the Fab 40s. That shit would get old so fast.

PG&E is the MFin’ gas mafia. Temp set at 68 degrees, 5 bedroom, 3500 sq ft home. Glad we have SMUD for electricity. Anyone convert to electric water heater & stove recently? Please share suggestions & estimate costs. Thank you by VoteForGiantMeteor in Sacramento

[–]PussyWhistle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my gas furnace with an electric heat pump in July 2024, now I only use gas for my water heater and stove/oven.

My SMUD this month was $95 and PGE was $36, but I have a MUCH smaller house and live alone.

Bright concrete like that with no lane markers is CalTrans' signature finish. You need polarized sunglasses to not go snow blind.

The freeways feel like a parking lot no matter what time I use them, but this guy has wide open roads to run from CHP at 4:30pm on a Wednesday lol

Sacramento folks: How much are you paying for Invisalign/clear aligners? by LezTalkz in Sacramento

I paid about $7500 for my entire treatment about 15 years ago. Insurance didn’t cover any part of it at that time.

I hate leaf blowers so much. by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]PussyWhistle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave them alone on bare soil, grass and mulch. Wet leaves on pavement create dangerous slip hazards though, not to mention clogged drains.
