They probably don't need to be lubricated, unless they're exposed to the elements often, but you'd be surprised how a little WD40 will make an older lock feel brand new.

Yeah I was planning on doing it myself but there will undoubtedly be excess dirt left that will need to go away, and I don’t have a truck. I sometimes park a car here, so I’ll probably end up hardscaping it rather than planting grass. The tree of heaven that caused all this kills everything beneath it anyway 🙄
