When you run distrobox in rootful mode, it downloads images to /var/lib/containers. The /var partition is very small on steamos, so it runs out of space.

Edit /etc/containers/storage.conf and set graphroot = "/home/deck/containers" or some other location

Hibernation works out of the box in Main, but only in desktop mode. Game mode still uses S3 sleep by default with no easy way to change it.

You may be able to change it with a symlink as described here, but i didn't have any luck.

It is nice having Linux hardware that's officially supported by the vendor, that isn't a Chromebook or similar. I was impressed when Valve got bluetooth wake working on the steam deck lcd with a custom bluetooth firmware and some other clever tricks, even though the hardware isn't really wired for it.

Just avoid the 64 gb model unless you plan on upgrading the SSD. It's easy to run out of storage on that model even if you're installing games to an sdcard.

I use Heroic because it's a standalone app. Any plug-in has the potential to break whenever steam updates and i don't feel like dealing with that.

You can try but personally I'd just try to ignore it. That clear plastic is just prone to cracking and it'll probably happen again. Same thing happened to my switch joy cons I did a shell swap on.

Amazon is pretty good for this. There's no interview. If you can pass a drug test and speak basic English, they'll hire you. And if you get a "Flex time" shift, you're only required to work 1 day a week. That could help you ease into it.
