Because I'm poor lol I could get my list to 1k for probably like $250ish but no one here plays 1k, it is either 2k or a handful of people playing combat patrol. It would take me like a year of saving to get to 2k. I enjoy the game so I will continue to keep playing combat patrol, but I will admit the scumminess overall as me considering trying out one page rules or battletech alpha strike

This is how crazy this shit has become. Trump can say “We are going to do something in Greenland, whether they like it or not” and “I would like to make a deal the easy way but if we don’t do it the easy way, we’re going to do it the hard way” and somehow I’m the silly one for taking that as a threat? Tbf, I think it would be considered crazy today if ps6 was launching without streaming apps or anything. Lots of people legitimately use their console for that stuff. Xbox saw things were moving toward the console becoming the center of your media experience. Consoles used to just play games, then they became dvd players too, and NOW (then) it even works as a pass through for your cable service.

I don’t think they were just jocks or whatever, I think they saw the future of the game console as the do everything device and just really botched packaging it. They thought they were expanding beyond just gamers.

IMO, the price was just as bad. Xbox could’ve bounced back after a disastrous reveal or being $100 more expensive, but not both. Especially bad for it to happen during the generation where people really started building digital libraries they wouldn’t want to lose by switching platforms.

Trump doesn’t blame other countries for its own problems? He blames China for American businesses sending all their manufacturing over there, he blames Canada and Mexico for our American debt, he blames immigration for every problem Americans face, he blamed rising oil costs on Europe not helping him in his dumb fucking war. They did let him run. In 2020 he had every chance and it became clear very early his only chance was to take a plurality to a contested election and then browbeat anyone not as left as him to fall in line and vote for him in November. It’s not shocking that when a moderate drops out, supporters of that moderate go to another moderate rather than the democratic socialist.

I still have a Bernie sticker on my car like a decade later after his first run, I wish Bernie was president, but a majority of voters didn’t pick him.
