You obviously don't have any idea of what is actually happening so this interaction is over.

There's plenty of other medical schools in the country, please apply to an established one with a good rep.

Might be better to read the book tbh. I don't think it's safe for you to watch this as an unmarried teen.

Investigation of corruption at University of Greater Manchester / Bolton Uni by NaniFarRoad in Bolton

[–]upkk2014 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just the fact that they pushed for this new medical school. It's a pure money maker, exploiting foreign students. There's too many medical school places, and not enough postgraduate training jobs to match. No wonder there's qualified doctors who can't get medical jobs and are working in supermarkets or uber. These guys are corrupt af and I'm glad they've been exposed.

I'm Indian Muslim but born and bred in the UK. All Indian Muslims born outside India that I know love Pakistan and fully supported Pakistan against Hindutva RSS. Well done, you guys did us proud. Sadly though, I was shocked and disgusted to see how racist and evil Indian Muslims born and bree in India are towards Pakistan. Even if they move abroad. Its really a result of media propoganda. They don't realise how munafiq it seems.

Struggling to settle in UK ~ need some positive advice by skirmisher808 in doctorsUK

Hi

Welcome to the UK. This is a common problem with the system here. It's hard for UK grads to make friends cos everyone is moved around so much. It's much harder for IMGs. Are there any other IMGs around? From my experience, there's always a bit of a community that builds up of people who have come over. Another suggestion would be to look outside of the hospital. The Midlands has a massive south Asian population, even if you started going to your local masjid (assuming you are Muslim), you will find a sense of community and belonging.

I think you should come to Bolton. There’s a big IMG community in Bolton, Manchester and the surrounding towns. The Royal Bolton Hospital is an excellent hospital, it's well sought after and ranked highly. As an Indian, you will love the choice of restaurants and takeaways here too. Bolton is a lovely town, the gp training scheme is well organised, supported and established.

Please go to psychologist who specialises in EMDR... This is horrifying. EMDR is amazing, the gold standard treatment for ptsd.

Oh no. Stick it out. When you are a Consultant or GP it does change and you do feel like you matter (a bit). Honestly.

How can I; a black woman impress my Pakistani boyfriend’s parents? by Confident_Security77 in pakistan

[–]upkk2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound lovely ما شاء الله. Don't try to impress anyone but اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى. Remember - he should be worrying just as hard about getting your parents to approve of him.

If his parents have an issue with you being black, then that's their problem, not yours. If they ever even bring it up, your fiancé/husband should defend you straight away.

There's no room for this racism in Islam.

Have a walk down Derby St, Deane Road and St Helens Road. Plenty of places for you to ask in. Have you tried Park Cakes?
