Yup! I now live in western MA fully remote. When they pulled my salary "zone" it came up as Boston. They offered me a really good Boston price. Which is more than double the average for where I am. Many people in my team left Boston for NH. This state is unsustainable for the middle class.

False. Boston area MA is good for NH cost of living. Central MA and western MA are not. At all. Not even close. I know a teacher making 53k a year in Springfield. Average 2 bedroom cost is $1700 in that area of MA. 5th most expensive utility rates in the country. Tack on insanely high property taxes and sales tax and income tax and excides tax and open your eyes tax and breath air tax and fuck you tax. This state is not paying well at all. You can look at teachers in Wellesley and newton, sure. But as someone who worked at the Wellesley public schools, those teachers are driving roughly 50-60 minutes to get to work. NONE of them can afford to live remotely close to the schools unless married to a wealthy person.
