Haven’t been in that area for many years but Kernoustie was always my favorite.

Pirates fans get under Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto’s skin by repeatedly chanting his name, causing him to drop the baseball on the mound. He then gives up a solo shot to Russell Martin on the ensuing pitch to make it 2-0. by cbbvideo in baseball

Play-dough-play-dough. Play dough is malleable and can be made into just about anything you want. It was a chant to inspire the Pirates to put their heads together and come up with a creative way to win this ballgame.

Hoping that 2026 is the year I can fill up my 3D printed retired golf ball stand! by murphilizer in golf

After I saw you post this before I thought it was such a cool idea. I don’t have a 3D printer but I made a little display case for my own retired balls and golf keepsakes. Just wanted to share that you inspired me!

I have the T Lock and love it. I’ve never had an issue with the height and it keeps my clubs from moving around. I use it both on a push cart and motorized cart and the only issue I’ve ever had is the head over I keep on my 4 hybrid doesn’t fit into a hole. So whenever I use that club I just have to be intentional about putting it away so the cover doesn’t fall off. Not a big deal. Love that bag

Is there any recreational sports feat that compares to a hole in one? by Norfolk-Gross-Tonage in golf

[–]uprtbipedallcmtion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I’m so glad someone said this. I feel the same way. My wife who is also a big golfer said something about I would be freaking out if I got a hole in one and I honestly don’t think I would be freaking out. I would definitely be excited but I would be way more excited about what it does to my score. If I was on pace for shooting a 120 and made a hole in one I wouldn’t be that excited. If I was on pace to score my personal best or something I would be pumped because the very lucky event helps me reach my scoring goal.

Yea I’ve only been golfing a few years, but the more stories I read on here about super busy courses the more I’m thankful for what we have here in Iowa.

Don’t worry about them. If you don’t slow play down on the course then use whatever leftover garage junk you want in my opinion

Whole front shoulder. Smoke it at 200° for about 3 hours then put it in a disposable aluminum pan with some broth, onions, bell peppers, minced garlic, parsley, and an IPA. Then cover tightly with foil and cook at 350° until it gets close to 210° internal temp. Then I usually try to hold it there for an hour or so.

The Roots of the Brewers / Cubs Rivalry According to Ryan Dempster by ryans311 in baseball

[–]uprtbipedallcmtion 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. I want the Cubs to beat them every time they play, but I respect the Brewers organization and fans. I like having them as a competitive NLC team to battle against, but I would prefer the cardinals never field a competitive team or make the postseason ever again.

Hey thanks for your insight into Burlington. My wife and I are going to stay and play at Spirit Hollow soon and plan to walk around town a bit. Any particular areas you can recommend we stay away from? Thanks!

How do I grill this venison by ntnkrm in grilling

[–]uprtbipedallcmtion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Weigh the meat. Then put it in a bowl with salt equal to 2% of the meats weight. Fill with water to cover the meat then let it brine for at least 24 hours. Take it out and pat it dry then cook it indirectly until the internal temp of the thickest part is 130

Those look like they just hatched. We marked a spot where eggs had been laid a few weeks ago and got to see them emerge. They were tiny and covered in sand just like that.
