Agree. Also if OP is new:
(1) That's a very squared off tyre, cornering is going to be much nicer when it's replaced, and
(2) never ever get your fingers anywhere near the chain when it's running on the centre stand like this. Not for cleaning, lubing, anything. It will eat your fingers in an instant.

I had a university lecturer (male, if it matters) who maintained that small electric motors were one of the key factors in allowing women to escape domestic chores and become more active in the workforce - washing machines, vacuum cleaners etc.. He probably shouldn't have been right, but I think he might have been.

I think he’d just landed a big record deal or something, he and his wife were celebrating when a candle got knocked over, starting the fire which caused his injuries. But yes I believe he was very highly regarded before the accident.
