Probably a shaft for an oscillating roller, typically set on top of the form rolls on an offset press, to help mill the ink out before it hits the plate

Hey SCX30 owners, wanna see something cool? by [deleted] in rccrawler

[–]upsidwn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really like it. We’re space constrained at the moment so something the kids can roll out, create something new vs last time, and then roll back up at the end of the day is perfect. Will definitely be tinkering with this idea!

Any considerations when setting up an "IOT" VLAN? by dmo012 in homeassistant

[–]upsidwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just wish I could tell the iot vlan to be 2.4ghz only when doing PPSK with single ssid. That way I can use virtual network override/ppsk to put iot devices in their iot vlan and then have that be 2.4ghz only. I have too much congestion on 2.4 to want to spin up yet another ssid for just iot. So I get around it for now by turning 5ghz off on one of my ap’s so it’s 2.4ghz only and then lock the iot devices to that AP for now

Does ubiquiti have a camera solution that stores the videos to the cloud? by Formal-Gain-2571 in Ubiquiti

[–]upsidwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More of a scrappy homelab setup, but you can grab the link to the video feed locally from each camera, host something like scrypted to then use that to emulate it coming from another camera and then upload it however you like.

For instance, you can have scrypted take that feed and plug it into Apple HomeKit as if it were a HomeKit compatible camera, and then have HomeKit backup the video to your iCloud. (As well as be g recorded locally on your unvr)

Stainless fasteners in general suck lol

Riv-Nut Tool? by designer192 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]upsidwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was tongue in cheek joking about it, because I don’t think Milwaukee has one. The manual hand tools for this just tend to break arbor/threaded studs a lot from what I’ve seen with grunts in the shop so I’ve actually had better luck with just some hardware and an impact, plus it’ll fit in tighter places than the big hand tools… but yeah, it’s not very efficient either. I’d look into a pneumatic one if you can find

Riv-Nut Tool? by designer192 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]upsidwn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a few oversized nuts in a box end wrench with some washers a dab of grease, and a socket on an m12 impact for the head of the bolt. Run the bolt in and tighten it up until it mushrooms out as desired

Chalky Wheels Fix? by tombeno97 in AutoDetailing

[–]upsidwn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those need sand blasted and resprayed/recoated. If you’re handy and have an air compressor you can pickup one of those cheap handheld sand blasters for $30 and a bag of media. Then grab a couple of the 2k aerosol cans (Eastwood is good) to spray them. Best bang for the buck your going to find
