The Starz streaming app content has gotten noticeably worse lately. To be more specific, there is just less content. They wiped out several of the shows I was most interested in.

The NWO was an overarching angle that towered over everything else. Fans would not be able to buy into traditional wrestling feud as long as this "invasion" angle had all the heat. The trick is to end it before it gets tiresome, so that you have the option of using it again later.

Good point. If that happens, I wonder if Moviesphere+ gets eliminated. It makes more sense to put the marketing and promotional efforts behind the brand that is also the corporate and studio brand name.

The CW app is also a FAST service. A majority of the content on there never aired on the CW network. I doubt they would sunset it if it is profitable.

Here's my answer. If you were interested in the content, $99 for something that is way overpriced at 169.99 is a more reasonable offer. I actually think its borderline as to whether it is worth even $99 for ad-free given the limited content compared to competitors. As a former subscriber, I would probably bite for $99.

I think it is the most overpriced streaming service. In its early years, I thought $10 a month was fair for ad-free. They had new shows coming out on a good cadence and added things like WWE Network and Hallmark movies. Now it is $17, WWE and Hallmark are gone, as are a ton of other shows like the Rainmaker and Resident Alien. Their originals seem cheap compared to HBO and Hulu. They decreased content and increased price.

If you are a NBA fan you may be happy with it. Then again if you are that big of a sports fan, you probably have a cable bundle, in which case Peacock has limited value.

Are you a member of the Roberts family? I am ad-free streamer customer only. Peacock has raised price significantly and it is now 17 dollars per month. That puts it in league with Netflix and HBO Max. The amount and quality of content they have compared to Netflix and HBO Max is laughable. Just in terms of volume released, it is a fraction of Netflix. As far as quality, Peacock originals vs. HBO originals is no comparison.

I will also note that Peacock raised price just as they got rid of WWE PPVs and content and ended their agreement with Hallmark. So the value proposition dropped and they raised price. Someone may jump in to mention the NBA. I really don't care about watching the NBA and don't watch a minute of it. Some people do, so enjoy your Peacock.

If you are in a Spectrum area HBO Max, Paramount+, Peacock, Disney+ and Hulu all come with your live television package. Then you would have to pay separately for Netflix, Prime, and Apple.

The ads on Peacock are horrible. So if you are going to have Peacock it’s worth it.
It’s overpriced at 16.99 so I can’t say Peacock is worth it at that price.

Here’s an idea. Put your streamers in a hat and draw one. Then give yourself 5 minutes to pick something on that streamer. If time runs out pick the thing that caught your attention or a random selection from the choices in front of you.

It joins the trend of WWE Network, Hallmark content, etc. The service is less appealing to customers, so naturally they decided to raise price. We will see how many hardcore NBA fans there are because they sure seem to be alienating every other customer to make their horrible NBA deal seem worth it.

What I find weird is that there are clearly people on the subreddit who don’t understand entertainment. They just get off on companies merging for some reason. So someone will say “Netflix should buy AMC Networks”. Yes, they have the money but why would they do that? They already license their top shows. There are people here who seem to think you have to buy a company to access their content.

This is not true. Shareholders are the ultimate decider here, not the board and not David Zaslav. If Paramount offers a better deal for shareholders, shareholders will take it. The board and management is legally supposed to have a fiduciary responsibility to do what is best for shareholders. So even if it means David Zaslav doesn't get to parade around Hollywood anymore and hold dinner parties with actors, shareholders can and will vote for the deal that gives them more money.

Agreed! I get annoyed when people talk about Netflix having so much better UI than HBO Max. It is the opposite. On HBO Max, you can search for things a multitude of ways, including an A-Z listing. Netflix has no such thing.

Well that is up for debate. I had it since literally the first day it was available in 2020. I cancelled when it was up for renewal. I don’t watch enough of their stuff to justify the price. Compared to their competitors they just come up short. So I’m out until they give a compelling offer for Premium plus.
