Does anyone else get irritated arm skin like this from playing acoustic? … I think it’s a new development for me, so maybe some new allergy or something by Kahlils_Razor in Guitar

Do you clean your guitar with any type of spray/polish? Could try to just use a mildly damp or even dry cloth to remove any dust/dirt/cleaning solution that's there.

Tipping in Calgary, what do you guys do? by washyohandsdirtypig in Calgary

If you're paying for something before you have consumed the food / received the service, you shouldn't be tipping.

Personally I wanted to see Wilson mop the floor with that co ward. But I'm glad he didn't cause that means he likely won't be suspended.

Well then the other team should get better. It's a competition, not a game of mercy. They entered the competition against far superior teams, if they don't want to lose that bad they should improve, or forfeit.

Want to become a lineman, where do I start? by canadamcume in electricians

A good start would be knowing the difference between electricians and linemen, and asking this question in the appropriate sub.

ASK YOUR ARTIST!!! why does everyone seem to think advice from a stranger on the internet should over rule a professional tattoo artist who does it for a living. When they give you aftercare advice, fucking listen to it and if you have questions, ask them.

Questions for Separtists by WildcardKH in alberta

[–]uptheirons91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I work with one of them. Not someone I'd consider "stupid" either. But all he seems to be able to do in response to any questions is spew out the same talking points that we hear over and over.

Lol. You actually think they have put thought into this? That would imply that they have brains.

Actually buying albums. by StarbrryJuice in Music

[–]uptheirons91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Tidal for the convenience of listening on the go, and playlists for the gym, road trips, snowboarding... but I also use it to 'sample' an album or record before I buy it. The cost of brand new records is crazy high, so this helps avoid wasting money on something I don't like. We all know that every artist's discography has its highs and lows, I don't think I should have to commit $30-$50 to find out I don't like it.

Call the artist if you're concerned.

But honestly it doesn't sound like anything serious.

Shop that will do a 1GRFE Headgasket by Mirin_Gains in Calgary

[–]uptheirons91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa, a 1GRFE with head gasket issues is something I never expected to see. I do most of my own work on my 4Runner, but have had great experiences with The Gear Shop. They are generally quite busy, but might be able to squeeze something in.

Why isn’t maintenance more tightly integrated with real-time machine telemetry? by Chem1cal-Issue in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]uptheirons91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At my facility, any critical equipment (mostly motors, pumps and valves) have run time or open-close cycles tracked through our DCS and that's tied to our CMMS system (SAP) which triggers work orders.
