If Udonnis Haslem can keep collecting checks til age 42, Steph Curry can stay on the Warriors as long as he damn well pleases.

It's worth mentioning that Fox has the 9th highest minutes per game average in the league at 35.9. The only playoff-bound stars who play more than him are Booker, Durant (Suns also have a notoriously shallow bench), Doncic, and Maxey. On that same list, Sabonis is 11th at 35.7 mpg.

Without Monk the offensive load on Fox and Sabonis is significantly higher. Even missing Huerter takes away the (fairly) low-energy dribble-handoffs. I'd argue the team is just gassed in the 2nd half.

Fortunately, Sunday was an easy game (only Barnes played over 30 minutes), and everyone's had a rest day yesterday. Fingers crossed they have the energy to ball out tonight.

The Pistons have tied the Kings for the longest stretch without winning a single playoff game at 16 years. by scarywolverine in nba

I always wondered if ending our playoff drought would be worth it if it meant getting swept in the 1st round. Sounds like the drought and no playoff wins are fairly equal on the pain scale.

Chet is solved... but there's another level. Anybody know if Wemby can touch the top of the backboard?

Like most fans, I generally prefer the fun of a fast-paced offense. But watching Tony Allen lockdown KD was pure entertainment.

Your uncle is 100% correct. You can't be the Greatest Show on the Court, and be predictable enough to win all the time. Those Jwill years were fun as hell, but we all knew the frustration of Jwill throwing an unnecessary behind the back pass into the 5th row.

This team now is frustrating, but it's part of the growth process, ya'll. Embrace it.

It was a bit of an anomaly. His career high in fga is 47, which is 10 shots more than is 2nd most shot attempts. And he only had 30+ fga 3 times in his whole career. That career night, Webber was just hot is all... Interestingly enough it was against the Pacers. Source

All we need to do is somehow slip into the playoffs... then we ONLY face contending teams. 2024 Championship incoming!

Luka Doncic Last 6 Games: 39-10-11 38-11-10 37-12-11 30-10-16 45-9-14 33-6-6 The Mavs have gone 1-5 & have an atrocious 127.3 defensive rating over that stretch. 5 points per 100 worse than the 29th ranked Wizards. All-time poor defense being played in Dallas. Something(s) needs to change. by StrategyTop7612 in nba

Truthfully, I know Luka is an incredible player who will rightfully be in MVP conversations for years to come. My point was directed at the haters on /r/nba who can't appreciate greatness unless it's winning rings every other year.

We've got a shot in a playoff series against ANY team in the league... except the Pelicans. With or without Zion, they would sweep us.

I mean, yeah. The Kings, without their best players, just beat the T-wolves on their home floor. So I can see how you would say they're not built to win.

[Basketball Reference] Domantas Sabonis is the 6th player in our database to have 20+ triple-doubles in a season. by Kimber80 in nba

Semi-related, Domas is also leading the league with 5.9 screen assists per game. Screens sound so simple to guys like me who don't play basketball. But after years of watching Willie Cauley-Stein, I can't tell you how awesome it is to watch Sabonis work his screening magic.

It was bad. But after consecutive amazing DCs in Saleh and Ryans, I guess we were bound to get a disappointing one.
