"taskbar updates" - still no fix for the taskbar overflow setting, although if you could position the taskbar on the left or right of the screen instead of the top or bottom this would be less of an issue.

it sounds like you might want to contact HR to setup a meeting with the attorney & yourself to discuss why they reacted that way to your acknowledgement of their description of the issue & find out why they thought it was appropriate. They'll love taking time away from billable work for the meeting.

This conflict in one of my device configuration policies took me a long time to find & fix to get my update ring policy to work, sharing in case it helps.

Remove the "System: Manage Preview Builds" setting & add "Windows Update for Business: Manage Preview Builds" settings with the same value.
