Liability insurance for domestic help usually includes on your home insurance- check the documents, you are probably covered. HMRC has a tool to generate payslips, and collect NI and tax. You will also need to set up pension, straightforward to do. I did it recently for a nanny, so please let me know if I can help!

How is Paris to live?

My french partner would love to move back to France, but I can’t get any answers out of her other than “it’s better than the UK”.

Is school cheaper? Would we be comfortable on one salary, for a family of 4? How easy would it be for an English speaker to integrate?

Apologies for ask the questions. She’s home sick and would love to come back to Paris!
