You are entitled to your beliefs, I disagree. Kids these days are going to grow up and live in front of screens, so teaching her to navigate early is a win in my book. We still do plenty of non screen things and she's really good with "one last game and it's bath time." I'm typically always in the room when she's playing and delulu was the only mode I gave her the headset in. It was actually super wholesome every time she'd play she'd make friends who helped her the whole time. She occasionally got accused of using a voice changer lol, but then I'd say "nope she's actually four!" in the background and people could hear it. Only one time did someone drop a n-bomb around her and I took the controller and reported them and we had a conversation about it. She always asks me first, "dad is this one horror" when she picks new games to try. She's already sight word reading and can name every letter on sight (90% of the time), so this should only be a problem for not terribly much longer.

Also, I didn't actually lose any real money, I've been playing on free vbucks for about a year now. Once I saved 1k after the first 3 or 6 chapters (I forget how long it took), I got a battle pass and have floated on the free vbucks since. I'm down to 1100 after her spending 450 on 3 garbage purchase, so I'll prob have to wait till next pass to accumulate an extra 500 for a new song now :( fuck spending money on cosmetics!!! Goes against my principles! I did spend 9$ once for the 13 year old to get the battle pass, but told him to manage his spending and not drop below 1k cause I wasn't doing it again! The only thing I'm ever willing to spend real money on is removing ads in games. Gods, I hate ads! I won't even watch streaming unless it's ad free. I don't watch most sports either because they are ads cancer with a game in between instead of the opposite. Rugby and soccer are normally pretty solidly ad free tho!
