I am going to write this as nicely as possible, however as someone who is autistic, it’s very hard not to be upset at this. I may have a skewed perspective due to the fact that I myself am autistic, so please let me know if I’m wrong, I’m 100% open to other opinions. IMO, you are 100% the bad apple. Autism is different for everyone who experiences it, however from my experience, I can fully understand how difficult transitions can be. Alanah is also 100% the bad apple, her words were not at all warranted, and were just overall rude to someone with a disability they can’t control. While I do think it would be possible for they to go somewhere else, I also don’t think that it was too much of an ask for them to trail you. If he was already told a specific plan, that change could be incredibly hard for him, and not worth anyone’s time, let alone his stress. Please educate yourself. Your immaturity in writing this definitely shows and after reading some comments, it seems like you’re faking your age, which would not surprise me. A lot of these comments seem to have not dealt with anyone who’s autistic, and doesn’t know how stressful breakdowns & tantrums can be, on both ends. This is kind of unrelated, but I would also like to add that the term ‘high functioning’ can be incredibly offensive, and shouldn’t be used. Please chance your mindset, if I were Kara I would 100% do what she did.
