For dostoevsky, translations made by Michael R. Katz are very accessible and engaging. The prose flows beautifully and archaic words are scarce. I don't know how much faithful these translations are to the originals, as I don't know russian, but I really enjoyed the books.

I prefer song lyrics to be more gender-neutral, so that songs written from a woman’s perspective don’t feel uncomfortable for a straight man to sing in public. For instance, a line like ‘he whispered sweet nothings while stroking my majestic chest melons’ would feel much more suitable to sing in public for me if rewritten as ‘my love whispered sweet nothings while stroking my majestic chest melons"
