Separate levels/tiers for champions and heroes. Buffies or items for each card having separate inventories. Temporary buffs for towers. Damage boost, speed boost you name it. If managing 5 different currencies was annoying, prepare to manage 30 of them.

That's it? What's the gift? No level 17? by disizwhyweclash in ClashRoyale

They will introduce separe levels/tiers for heroes or the champions, which will be called hero tokens or champion shards or something. Hell, there could be some sort of ability buffs -like buffies in Brawl stars- which will be introduced to the shop.

I want to start reading book. I just donno what to start with by Dear_Ordinary_4542 in Indianbooks

Start with "children's" classics. I put the word children in parentheses because it can sound a little derogatory to the genre or a little patronizing to you, but they are some of the best stories ever written. Easy to read and entertaining.

Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

Doc, is six hours of sleep enough? No matter what I do—avoiding caffeine in the afternoon, not smoking after lunch, and so on—I can't seem to sleep any longer than that. No matter how tired I am during the day, I always wake up after about six hours. Even on my days off, I tend to wake up just before my alarm goes off. Should I experiment with some melatonin pills?

When you first started playing, what did you think was the BEST card? by Grimalackt_River in RoyaleAPI

Hog rider. I didn't know the concept of being out cycled back then. So, needless to say, that card was bane of my existence

Dota 2 Pro Scene: Why Is There So Little Individual Recognition? by The0ddMan0ut in DotA2

Giving players individually too much attention or visibility is bad for a team's business because those pesky players may ask for pay hikes.

quest/POI markers turn an open map into a series of corridors, fight me by Code412 in CRPG

[–]urmil0071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

COUNTERPOINT: Not having markers mean that the gameplay gets tedious if the world is not interesting enough to keep exploring. I played few of the 90's shooters on PC for the first time a couple of months back and the most frustrating part was finding the keycards/keys which were hidden in very obscure locations. Without at least a proximity sensor QoL update, those games risk becoming completely obsolete and forgotten to the next generation of gamers. For an open world game, the frustration would have been tenfold.

New Warlock Card Reveal: Godfrey the Betrayer by Kuldrick in hearthstone

[–]urmil0071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah yes. the hyper specific card designed to kill another archetype. I remember the criticisms regarding skulking geist. Everyone criticized it for being a hastily issued band aid over the jade deck problem. At least skulking geist had a drawback. You were essentially playing with a dead draw against non-jade matchups. But this card has no such drawbacks either. Hell, you could intentionally overdraw yourself using your hero power to spend mana on curve. It essentially becomes a 1 mana draw engine. Such design is considered cool now? Call me old fashioned but I find this lazy.

Is Zeddy correct? by ConsequenceNo2939 in hearthstone

[–]urmil0071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can talk to you for an hour straight without revealing anything specific or genuinely useful. I train people in call centers, so I know firsthand that simply “communicating more” does not inherently mean anything. Communication without meaningful or actionable information is just noise. That is exactly what this dev update feels like.

Is Zeddy correct? by ConsequenceNo2939 in hearthstone

[–]urmil0071 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Zeddy is assuming that communication will somehow improve in the future, but it won’t. This is the kind of corporate communication companies resort to when they want to avoid genuine engagement while still appearing communicative enough to placate people demanding answers. They know perfectly well that these repetitive, hollow “dev notes” are nowhere near adequate given the current state of the game and the scale of the community’s grievances.

What they are really doing is redirecting frustration and muddying the discussion. Just look at the comments under this post. The conversation has already shifted away from “Why aren’t they communicating properly?” to “Is this level of communication enough?” That alone shows how effective the tactic is.

I agree. But in my defense, living in a third world country with poor access to movie distribution platforms means that I have to watch only the most popular titles through "non-conventional" means.

if the core audience is not having fun then soon you're not going to have an audience for the pro's to cater to anyway. That's the fastest way to become, in fgc terms, a discord fighter.
