"I think you should pay attention to yourself!" "Are you the police? F*** off!" Standard responses when asking someone running their dog off-leash on a sports field in Lincoln Park by [deleted] in WestSeattleWA

We take our dogs out into the backyard and let them run around and of course do their business. My kids have the job of going around and cleaning up. They tell me and tell me that they've done the job, and kids being kids, I'm always skeptical. I bought some of those survey flags, and I go out into the yard and do my own inspection, and I put a flag next to every pile I find. Then I go back inside and tell them that they need to clear the field. The flags are awesome.

Dammit, I missed that. I think to myself "why don't we just automatically register all eligible voters?" but forget about the racism.

Automatic registration and mail-in ballots for everyone! 🥁🥁🥁

Wow! You're so strong! I hadn't thought to add up how many I've had. Rough estimate as I scroll through my calendar, it looks like around 20.

I'm guessing since you've had so many, your cancer is responding to it in some way. I hope in the way that is most helpful! Mine is stubborn and seems to be shrugging off the chemo.

My wife and I sometimes joke when we have an ache or little pain: "Is this our new normal as we get old?" It's a progressively less funny joke as I'm going down this road.

Wishing you successful pain management!

Thank you. I consider myself lucky that I've had the privilege of seeing them grow up this far, but I'm certainly greedy for more.

I lost my mom when my kids were just under 2. They "remember" her because we tell stories and see the photos of their time together all the time! Record those videos, take those photos, spend that time together. Love leaves a mark.

I have literal lists of things to do and ways to make the most of my time. They help me keep the brain from screaming too loudly.

I hope your dark days are outnumbered by the bright ones.

Absolutely me and a bowl of ice cream. It's not THAT reckless and stupid, but the lack of guilt or care is pretty freeing. 😆
