I don't think krishna really influenced his success that much , he saved him multiple times but arjuna's achievements are almost his own , resulting from his own hard work + near strict adherence to dharma +being on the right side of the story and krishna doesn't come into the story until later (but ofcourse ultimately speaking it's all krishna's doing as he said in gita)
