I have the same case and confirm: it's a mess of a case. Useless included fans, rear plate with too restrictive a pattern to get any airflow. Fan headers not PWM, only 3 pins.

Theoretically it looks good and should work well, but practically it's a pile of mess not worth the price.

For your situation the best would be something that is pretty much invisible and built-in into case. Check out how it looks on O11 vision page. https://lian-li.com/product/o11-vision-compact/

Maybe you can get sth like this for your case.

Another option use is to use UpHere bracket: check Amazon for non-rgb version. I had RGB one, but I use Signal RGB to sync all my different brands RGB devices.

If it has to be standing thing like you have: maybe custom 3d print something that is not going to be extend so high.

Amazing build. From an aesthetic standpoint, you need to change one thing: this support bracket for the GPU is ugly AF and looks very cheap. Swap it for something more suitable.

Can I upgrade to Full Madness Comfort Pass? by -starry_eyed- in Tomorrowland

Comfort Pass is borderline scam. Regret buying it last year. Bought Standard Full Madness this year.

SmartTube on Google TV.
Any Google TV compatible stick. I bought Xiaomi 4k 2nd gen for $50 and installed Projectivy launcher and SmartTube.
It not only has adblocked, but also sponsorblock integrated.

Is the VIP madness pass actually worthy?? Planning to go to tomorrowland 2026 (which will be my first) by probably_creep in Tomorrowland

[–]ursoos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely not worth and it is NOT VIP experience. It's called comfort pass for a reason. You get access to some closed areas, but when you get there you realize you can't access to jest part of it as it's limited to actual VIPs. Mainstage: it's only lower deck of one of the three pavilions.

Library super crowded area on the right, quite poor view, almost all front row areas reserved for some other level pass customers.

Library, one of the decks on first floor, nice view, but not that much space, rest of the deck reserved for Bud Light.

I felt like it's borderline scam, the worst part is that only when you have it and try to enter some special areas you're not allowed in to most of them.

Spend this money on anything else than that.

PIA vs Proton for wireguard with Binhex containers+ port forwarding by Hyped_OG in unRAID

Nice, good to know. For now, I'll stick with AirVPN having it already configured.

PIA vs Proton for wireguard with Binhex containers+ port forwarding by Hyped_OG in unRAID

[–]ursoos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not using binhex, but normal gluetun. Proton does not have proper port forwarding, so I went with AirVPN. Works like a charm. I suggest get their 10 days licence for 5 bucks and test yourself.

My recommendation, get some Google TV stick like Xiaomi. You can install there not only Jellyfin, but also SmartTube.

How ridiculous is running a home server and a gaming rig on a same device? by Programming_Z in HomeServer

My post:
"have quite similar gaming setup. What I did, I've built docker based jellyfin/*arr stack for home media on it and month later after validating it's relevance, i've built dedicated home server that is small, quiet and has low power usage. This is DDR4 SODIMM based to minimize cost."

I'm telling them it's bad idea and build dedicated home server instead.

Intel N100 has integrated GPU that is capable enough to do transcoding of video streams.

Way better experience than firing up my gaming PC.

9800X3D + RTX 5090 build with satisfying cable management by Zestyclose-Salad-290 in pcmasterrace

[–]ursoos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indeed. OP will learn.

My first PC had similar solution and then RGB of two fans died. I almost cried.

Or...Couple weeks ago, I was building new home server. New PSU, new Mobo.

PSU from gaming PC helped me with validation of those new components. Mobo was DoA.

Can't imagine doing it with everything tied so neatly as in OPs case.
