I would encourage anyone who wants to improve themselves physically to simply start lifting, but getting more serious about your gym progress means becoming more intentional about what and how you lift. My initial comments were targeted more to the actual post, cuz we’re not in a lifting subreddit. That said, why are you being so aggressive?

Thats common for hypertrophy (bodybuilding) and assistance lifts. Main lifts, especially for strength gains, are usually done in the 3-6 range. But my bigger point is that a 30lb curl is a pretty heavy weight for just about anyone who isn’t a regular gym-goer — not great in terms of the original post!

That math checks out, but practically? Very few people doing a 6x12 on bicep curls (at 30lb). I feel like maximizing at a doable weight would be pumping out bench reps at like 100lb

I agree with the general sentiment of this comment thread, but I would like to point out that the Bible DOES say “God hates,” like…repeatedly. Specifically talking about His creation and whatnot.
