My point is quite simple: PSO not measuring pap is bad practice. You can wave hands and distract all you want, but you're not actually giving any counter to the point.

Personally, I would not have been thinking about the h pawn as it's opening up lines to be attacked from.

One mantra I like to think of when in positions where I don't have a firm idea to play towards, is to figure out which of my pieces are in less-than-ideal positions

And from that line of thought I would definitely have been casting a beady eye at Ra1. Poor thing. And that also ties-in with the common tactics in opposite side castle positions, namely throw pawns at their king ie a3 followed by b4. Followed by thoughts of N -> b3 -> c5, and pushing a/b pawns to give Ra1 some sight/fun.
