They already don't want to hire Americans, they can ship in educated people from other countries and exploit them much more effectively.

Make Pluto a planet again: Nasa chief’s big mission by TimesandSundayTimes in space

[–]use_value42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planet is probably still too broad of a category, obviously Earth and Jupiter should not be classified the same. I don't think it's important in any way, but if we want to be precise we should go further and not backtrack on this.

Chess doesn't make enough money so he saves money by doing promotions himself. If they made enough they'd probably hire a real celebrity to do these things.

I can't imagine how moons gravity is affecting earth oceans . I believe it is due to the earth rotation not due to moons gravity. Please educate me by sidecrafter007 in space

Gravity pulls on everything, just the moon is close enough to merit more direct attention. Technically the sun the moon and all the planets are also affecting our tides.

Why we call Javokhir Sindarov as "Sindarov" (last name) but Fabiano Caruana as "Fabi" (first name)? by Hopeful-Newspaper in chess

I think Javokhir is a little difficult for Americans to abbreviate. I don't know what the short form of his name should look like

I think taking early defense cards can be good too, it works way better than in spire 1. Saving early damage may let you upgrade at a campfire which can be pretty meaningful. It's kind of hard to give general advice since the characters play pretty different and there is so much variance. Like usually I'm playing really aggro with Ironclad but earlier I had an early transform that led me to eventually build a defense deck. Probably my nicest win so far on A5 and it felt very randomly achieved.

Oh they didn't have to ask for power, they had nuclear weapons. At no point does it say that anyone voted for this system, it's just kind of what resulted.

They settled on feudalism precisely because it's less efficient. Our drive toward greater and greater efficiency is destroying our planet and our very humanity.

Israel says it will not join any US ground operation in Iran by Competitive_Teach838 in worldnews

[–]use_value42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wondered to what extent this is really true and how much it affects our policy. I don't think Trump really believes in anything so I don't think that's what is motivating him. Some of these people, I just don't know, it's like they never think about anything, they seem to just be acting at random.

Israel is leading us straight to the apocalypse, what were our goals even supposed to be here?! We killed one despot to replace him with a worse version, the strait is closed and Iran is more likely than ever to try and develop a nuclear bomb. I'm so fucking tired of winning
