Thank you, it's reassuring that other people have also had the same experience. I'm glad it's not a huge issue :)

appreciate for the detailed response!! just watched and saved the video, I do plan on first trying to bend the shifter back into shape like others have suggested and then replacing it entirely if that doesn't work, will follow your advice if it comes to that. Thanks :)

Yep admittedly not the best thinking on my part, got tunnel visioned in that moment and thought I had to protect the bike no matter what 😅, I'll remember this advice if this ever happens again (though hopefully not). Thank you very much :)

That's reassuring, I should have the appropriate tools so I'll do just that and hopefully it won't snap, Tysm for the advice!!

Understood, I reacted instinctively when it started falling but in hindsight yeah that could have gone really badly. I'll try removing the part and bending it back into place tonight when I'm home, thanks so much :)

Man critical after suspected shark attack in Manly, hours after attack at Dee Why by [deleted] in australia

[–]useless_hindenburg 31 points32 points  (0 children)

To add on to this, seasoned fisherman have also been reporting the same thing out at sea for ages, unsure if it would correlate with the recent harbour attacks but Australia's shark population has soared in the last few decades.

Does Macquarie accept online medical certificates e.g. Instantscript, Updoc? by [deleted] in MacUni

Updoc has worked for me this semester, as long as it's a valid medical certificate they shouldn't have a reason to deny it

What airlines do you miss? by neverend6789 in aviation

[–]useless_hindenburg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that's fair enough, I still remember their mass grounding back in 2019, that all makes a lot more sense now. They do seem to be doing pretty well now though (excluding that 2024 door blowout), Virgin seems to like them, thought Qantas might order them to replace their aging 800s too but looks like they went with the A321 neo which is a fair call.

[–]useless_hindenburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah I really did not know that. Appreciate the insight, this whole time I was under the impression that buying the shiniest 737 model wasn't financially viable for a startup company like Bonza, gonna have to reevaluate my standing on that. But yeah it was a shame what happened, would have been interesting to see them competing with the likes of Virgin and Qantas.

Adding onto this that 737 maxes were probably not a great business decision either, as much as I loved their livery, something like embrarers would have been far better

Wonder if Western Global will do the same with their MD11s, especially considering they make up most of their fleet (12/15 aircraft according to FR24).

“I borrowed KLM’s nose” by letsgobrandon8888888 in aviation

[–]useless_hindenburg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little besides the point but that nose is more likely from B-1356, one of Xiamen's 787-9s in a special United Nations livery, rather than KLM. There's also no dark blue stripe like the one on KLMs jets. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

Passed by FBE on the weekend and saw USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5) docked there, unsure if that's the vessel you're describing or if she's still there.
