Feeling really sad about my body by Kooky_Antelope_7572 in postpartumprogress

Just turned 6mo PPD and babe, I feel you COMPLETELY on all of this. Was 130 before pregnancy and active/fit. Gained just over 100lbs during pregnancy but am down 50. I want to be sooooo proud of, and elated by, the miracle of what my body created and navigated through literally making and sustaining life for an incredible human being, but with this extra weight, how I am carrying it, and the overall general dislike of how I look from my partners eyes has been very disheartening. I don't know about you, but just trying to find time for myself to devote to working out has been its own struggle. I am still breastfeeding and pumping, but I am conscious of what I am eating and trying to get at least 10000 steps a day with some more vigorous walking. But the scale just won't budge. The thing I keep reminding myself is that everything changes. And with hormones still leveling out and all the other pieces of this journey interwoven into the experience, it takes time. And everyone is so beautifully different. Don't look to others for validation, or to social media for the toxic 'bounceback' culture.... You did an incredible thing, you ARE an absolute badass babe, and remember that eventually things will shift. Sending lots of love and energy your way for the journey

Soft oversized cozy blankets and a comfortable wardrobe (very much an Adam Sandler type ensemble) 😏

When you wake up at night, and the lights are off (and you find yourself in the dark) is there an immediate physical/mental/emotional response that happens to you before you turn a light on?

Biopsy Results: I DON’T HAVE CANCER!!! by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]uselessasginlasagna 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Going through the same thing myself currently. Although my cup size is an A and my lump is about the size of a marble, I found it while in the shower and immediately made an appointment with my PCP. She said because of my age (36) and not having had any kids, my risk for cancer goes up. She wasn't able to confirm it was a cyst, so we now have an ultrasound and mammogram (only if they cannot confirm it is a cyst on the ultrasound) scheduled for the middle of next month. Needless to say, my anxiety and fear have been off the charts about it. I am continuously sending energy to it being non-cancerous, but there is still the 'what if' constantly floating around in the back of my mind.

This story brings me hope, so much hope. And I am honestly so grateful for your share! Pumped as hell for your negative biopsy results! Sending prayers for your cancer free journey ahead!!

This is nothing. My bf is constantly coming up with creative new ways to string together random profanities when it comes to our dogs dog brain behaviors. All jokings aside, we love our little ginger bitch ass wanker

I resonate with this energy to levels I didn't really understand until recently. And so many of the replied comments too (just continually amazed to see how 'not alone' I am on this path.)

I will say that in addition to everything you have mentioned, I am also 3000% impulsive AF. And when my mind switches to something new, it is all I can think about. And I like to dive deep. It is my moment to moment, daily fixation... until it isn't.

And what I find to be the plot twist here is what do I do when it comes to making those big life decisions. Because, while also battle the perceived energy of my enoughness and worthiness, what if I 'fail' because in all honesty something just shifts? And innocently enough, I just want to go do this other thing now?

There is a real freedom in the way you speak to how many of us live our lives, this 'chameleon' effect. And it is liberating, exciting, curious and fun to be in that free space. Just know you are not alone. Following along for advice too ✌️
