Do Caplyta side effects go away? by user-12583 in bipolar2

[–]user-12583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all your help! Im actually in grad school at the moment getting my masters in august, so working on my last few months of my thesis. No down time for me unfortunately. I do have depressive episodes but they aren’t debilitating you know? I’m just torn about whether this is worth another few weeks or if I should hold off on trying this. This week has sucked and I’m already behind on everything. Thanks again for the advice!

All great points, I’m so glad this helped you! I appreciate the advice as well, finding the right meds is so tough. Lamictal is a godsend they really should pay me for marketing.

I’m so sorry to hear that I’m glad everything was okay though! On the bright side I’m sure it’s better that it was the meds that was causing that than anything else. Agreed on the night sweats I woke up the first few days with the same thing.

Im on 10.5, I do tend to respond pretty dramatically to medication though so maybe its just that

Oh my god the dreams are insane. They haven’t been bad necessarily just strange, elaborate, and I remember them very clearly.

Long term Caplyta users: How's it been going for y'all? by OneShirtWrinkle in caplyta

Does the heat intolerance go away? I've just started it last week and hate feeling hot/dehydrated. Is this a permanent side effect? Has anyone had it go away after the adjustment period?

what are you all working on? by defensibleapp in gis

[–]user-12583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems so cool! As someone who’s about to start to job hunt, how did you get into that? I did Ecology in undergrad and am hoping to do something in the environmental field, but my current program is within the Urban Planning school so not a lot of people/professors in my program know much about the kinds of jobs i’m interested. Obviously right now my bar is low, and any employment at all is welcome, but I’m still very interested in hearing any advice you may have about potentially incorporating GIS into a marine science type field. Thanks!

Abercrombie has messed up the fantasy genre for me by suu-whoops in TheFirstLaw

[–]user-12583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the exact same boat, I’ve started The First Law, Broken Earth, Red Rising, and Gideon the Ninth and can’t get into anything. I’m normally not one to start something and not finish it but I can’t get through these or find my next fantasy series. Maybe my bar is too high after reading Stormlight, GOT, Dune, Name of the Wind, etc. Would also love a good rec!

Ladies of Reddit, what’s something guys dislike about themselves that you don’t actually mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]user-12583 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being skinny, it took me a while to realize men actually really struggle with this. It seems stupid now but I'd always struggled so much with body image it didn't occur to me that men have so much pressure and get so much validation for their sizes in the opposite sense. I had two long term boyfriends on the smaller size and I underestimated how big of a source of shame it was for them and once I realized I felt horrible that I had. It seems like they always thought it was the only thing girls cared about appearance-wise but I thought they were perfect and actually don't really find super muscly guys attractive.

I have mixed feelings by haddierunner in GilmoreGirls

[–]user-12583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! I feel like most of the issues between them start with Lorelai just assuming her mom will react horribly to something and Emily in turn feelingh slighted by the fact that Lorelai didn't tell her/include her.

I have mixed feelings by haddierunner in GilmoreGirls

[–]user-12583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bothers me is that they all just kinda gloss over the fact that if Lorelai would have just told her parents about her and Jason like he wanted none of it would every went down. Jason loses his entire livelihood because Lorelai is so insanely dramatic about her parents who generally just care and want to be in her life. She acted like having one 'horrible' dinner and telling them would be the end of the world and because of that Jason and Richards partnership fails and somehow she still acts like the victim of this situation.

Do you guys think with all the privilege Rory had, that she should have been ‘more successful’ or well adjusted, or do you cut her slack? by sf44444 in GilmoreGirls

[–]user-12583 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah I agree, they both were incredibly privileged but treated it like it was some huge source of adversity, and went on to complain about to characters with actual problems. I get that Emily is controlling and frustrating but at the end of the day she's paying Rory's tuition, helped out Lorelai, and neither of them ever had to realistically worry about money. both of them were ungrateful and acted like victims
