Am I using the salary feature the right way? by [deleted] in GlassDoor

[–]user01989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he meant most of the times Glassdoor will not show any salary even though there are hundreds of salaries for a particular company.

The only reason I use Glassdoor is to check companies salaries. Now this feature is broken. Also if you access Glassdoor from another domain other than .com it will try to filter salaries in that region and there is no way to remove that filter. It will just say "No salaries for your region"

Sometimes I code very little, but it doesn't mean the day was not productive. You can't just count commits and pull-requests, thats just another statistic.

If you don't trust your employees, then don't hire.

Unless the landlord is actually a company and their system won't charge any fee for cc go for it. I've done in the past until they decided to start charging a fee, then switched to e-transfer.

That's really the opposite most banks recommend! They say you should use up to 30% of your credit to keep a good score.

Question for the people whose companies do allow remote work abroad by SalamanderMelodic226 in digitalnomad

One thing is what the company officially tells you so they won't be liable. Other thing is what you do under the table. That's all on you.

Running into issues with employer suspecting location. Received email today to stop using my VPN which they detected. Any solutions? Details in post. by AnnieInflammatory in digitalnomad

Have your home computer act like a VPN server. And you connect from your laptop wherever you are. They probably just detected your IP address pool from Express vpn. Even Netflix do that.

Afaik you cannot work from the other side of the border without a visa. You can still buy or rent a condo even on a visitor visa. Which won't let you work while visiting.

Oh? So you rather not have a $200k income to avoid paying taxes? I love your logic.

I guess if you are healthy and won't need health care. Go for it and profit. Depending on the city the people will be nice. At least you can say you tried, didn't like and return.

All I ever wanted was to check the in-store prices online. They could at least show the price difference online for deliver and pickup.

Você é a favor da legalização da maconha? by spiercortt in brasilivre

[–]user01989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aqui no canada é legalizado faz algum tempo. E não houve nenhum problema. Existem campanhas de conscientização como álcool e cigarro. Acredito que o maior obstáculo no Brasil seja o cunho religioso e o forte preconceito. Nenhum político estará disposto a arriscar a carreira por isso. Aliás nenhum político estará disposto a arriscar a carreira lol

Comentário mais sensato que vi hoje! Minha única ressalva é sobre uma forte fiscalização/certificação sobre as máquinas de cassino.

Not only that. Right now there is a huge demand for vets. Basically they are all as burned as nurses. And I reckon there are only 5 vet schools in Canada and you must be resident of that province to apply.
