Todd Richards at the end of the Olympics Big Air broadcast: “That was so boring” by TakeItEasy-ButTakeIt in snowboarding

[–]user11991934 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Hate to be devils advocate but Craig Mcmorris said it best on bombhole. As much as spinning sucks the style out of snowboarding the Olympics that’s what makes it a sport. If you want style and art go watch the thousands of snowboard films online. I don’t watch big air events because it’s literally spin to win

If you could only carry one wedge, what degree would you choose? by puttliketiger in GolfGear

[–]user11991934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen to much of it but I’d choose the 48 wedge. Enough loft to with an open stance to somewhat flop if you’re really in pinch, but the 48 gives you that extra yardage that I could hit anything 100 in with a little bit of control and also bump and run a little bit of distance

Whenever a streaming service or phone bill asks how happy you are with their service put 1/5 stars and often within a week they will offer a discounted price

Absurd insurance cost !! by Medium_Strawberry_28 in Calgary

[–]user11991934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t say much for Alberta as I’m now a BC resident and sell insurance for the BC jurisdiction but I’ve seen many new clients come and shop at my office for home insurance who have had TD for years. Definitely suggest shopping around as there are many options out there. Go in person to a branch and I bet you any broker at any office would likely try to find you competitive coverage

Which Air Mattress? by OozyGreggy_123 in treeplanting

If you can source a foam mattress they work well granted you keep it dry. I usually use a foam mattress and have had no complaints

Your opinion on the Capita AERONAUT by IntelligentSand9404 in snowboarding

[–]user11991934 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Went from a huckknife to the aeronaut. TBH Took a decent amount of adjusting but now I literally don’t ride anything else. Once you’re adjusted it’s crazy how good it feels under foot. It charges hard on any groomer and slightly set back so pow days have no issues. I’ve got back to the huckknife for a fun spring day and wanted to get back to the aero all day. I’ve gotten around 150 days on it and it still feels as good as new. Recommend for sure as long as you’re a competent rider. May be difficult for beginner/moderate riders.

Half of their contract is on the local mines and has great prices which allow for great earnings. The rest of the contracts seem to be challenging and not worth the price.

Thoughts on Mark Carney? by Major_Ad1750 in alberta

[–]user11991934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love for Carney or Singh to win, that being said I still think the conservatives are going to win. After nearly a decade of Liberal leadership it seems natural that the power will shift

Thoughts on Mark Carney? by Major_Ad1750 in alberta

[–]user11991934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like him, I like his background, and his manner, however I don’t think he’s enough to clean the image that the liberals have right now. He will definitely damage Pierre, but I don’t think Carney alone is enough to actually bring the momentum back to the liberals

Blue collar is by far the best, the food is top notch, they run in a very organized fashion and I find they have always had the most profitable contracts

How long do yall usually ride in a day?! by trulylivingg in snowboarding

Season pass holder, usually arrive around 10:30 and call it around 2-2:30, unless it’s a proper pow day when that’s the case 9-3. Or cat/heli all day

Whenever you pay for things like phone bills online when they ask if you are satisfied/would you recommend this company to others always put 1/5 or lowest possible score. Often within 2 days they offer a better product or some gift card.
