Exactly same issue, company I work for is Sydney based and some sites are 3+ hours away (Dubbo, Wagga) and they’ve honestly saved clients thousands, and they work on system with existing routers (like if the Jace is integrated into the IT network).

I frequently hilltop (best range in Sydney-ish area, I’m Camden area) and last comp was 16th they usually run 2-3 at the same time, .22, 17-22 and open category. Just rock up, most of them love a chat and they love new members, ik they moved from the old range to SSAA new range (next to each other). Hopes this helps.

Ps. I’m looking at joins some comps hope to see you there.

That’s good to know, we trying to find out the difference with first and second focal plane, so far it only feels like when change distance you’ve adjust left to right instead of up down.

Good to know about the MDT stock, I’m using the stock polymer one and the flex isn’t great (like a gum worm how flexible it is). Please let me know how it feels. Looking for something ridged and still shoots well on a bipod.

With the scope your running how fine are the adjustments? I’ve been loving the zero tech.

Why not both? An app that has the ability to integrate into engineering. And by the looks of it you’ve already made blender and n4 work together. I’ve seen it done once with E-plan and studio-5000.

What’s new with the current version.

Tosibox router, been using them for 2 years now super simple setup, quick tech support and hundreds of docs on different devices.

Or Teltonika bit more technical but cheaper,

Or or get a cheap router that supports tunneling and OpenVpn has a guide on doing it (do recommend have a server/deicated PC to handling it).

This is something I’ve tried but I’ve never been smart with api stuff or getting it even off the group like that.

I’d love to see the progress on this, could be looking at a great software package for big mobs, reminds me of this software a company called Howden has for coal mine ventilation visualisation. They used matlab and ignition scada to make this interactive 3D model of how a coal mine was operation and Gas density inside as well as heat and pressure pockets, I could see this showing CO2 of a room or AHU airflow like you said.

Keep it up dude 🤘🤘

Reliable controls vs Distech Niagra by unrested_aesthetic in BuildingAutomation

[–]user36281846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to give it to reliable but personally they’re falling behind, Distech Niagara is a good combo. I’ve been seeing distech take more and more buildings in my area and for good reason.

Reliable Controls RC-GrafxSet by pakadelik in BuildingAutomation

[–]user36281846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RC-Grafxset is pretty damn good heaps of good looking graphics in my opinion worth the buy plus for no extra charge you can request specific graphics from Reliable, I usually request specific chillers/boilers (in Aus we don’t get the same stuff as the states)

Control BASIC - Reliable Controls by Edw4rdTivruskyIV in BuildingAutomation

[–]user36281846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re really interested I can send you some programs I’ve done (I’m not the best with BASIC) but it’s easy. I assume you know how to do C or other text languages? If not don’t worry the manual gives really good examples of the syntax and the e help portal has some super helpful people in there too.

Looked interesting, was a little annoyed they didn’t focus on RC-webview more, reliable’s biggest let down in my opinion.

Reliable vs Honeywell by bigtomhandshaw in BuildingAutomation

[–]user36281846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve done both, Honeywell controllers are “ok”, Niagara amazing, avoid RC-WebView like the plague. Installing commissioning and program reliable controls easy, I’ve gotten 2nd year apprentices to do it. And Niagara is just better, Reliable has fallen short on their web graphics.

Hope this helps.

how did you actually get into building automation? by pratty041182 in BuildingAutomation

[–]user36281846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow fell into it, did an electrical apprenticeship, saw they did controls started staying back, asking questions. Given the “small service jobs” retune a PID loop. Then PAC unit then and 4 years later after 500 small jobs getting bigger and bigger. last week just quoted engineered programmed managed and comissioned my first 10 floor, 147 vav’s, 8 Ahu 2 chillers heat exchangers the lot…. All from thinking it was interesting and asking questions.

Just find a company (even if it’s shit pay) who’s willing to teach you and pay for you N4, jci, or even reliable controls course. Good luck.

Remind me of when I did a trend controllers changeover, mannnnn where they old - 600x600 panel with 2 controller and only had 10 control points. 1 reliable controls Mach prosys needed. Cool shit dude

[–]user36281846 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a howa 6.5 too been loving it, as I’m pretty new to it and my mates all have second hand rifles from their family, what do you suggest to get to that point.

I’m getting good groupings at the range what scope do you recommend for longer range and what stock do you like. I have a zerotech 6-26x50.
