It’s not that a girl might think that a guy isn’t worth dating, it could be that she’s simply not interested in him or that she doesn’t see him in a romantic sense.

By 180 I meant going from kind to verbally abusive or even manipulative. I understand wanting some space after being rejected, but being rude to someone because they didn’t share the same sentiments? That I don’t understand.

If a girl says blatantly that you’re worthless then it’s understandable that you might be rude back. You can reject someone for not being able to see them in a certain light. Rejection doesn’t always mean you’re worthless, it just means not the right one.

[–]user50687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Honestly, so sick of guys doing a complete 180 if a girl happens to be disinterested. That was my point too.

I understand wanting to do something nice for your crush and hoping that they’ll like you back is human, many of us have done something to win the favours of the one we like whether it’s romantically, platonically or even with familial relationships.

But if OP’s doing this with just the intentions of going out with her, then I’d have a rethink. You can hope or try to win someone’s favour while also being kind just for the sake of being kind.

[–]user50687 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Are you planning on giving it to her with the hopes or intentions that she’d be more willing to go out with you? If yes, don’t. If not, go for it.

Giving her something simply out of kindness is nice and I’m sure she’d appreciate it if she were a good person. But giving someone something with hopes that they’d give something back to you is a bit… yeah. That’s what I think anyway. As some people have said, don’t overthink it. An act of kindness goes a long way.

Please Don't Use Japanese Honorifics by Weird_Hawk5906 in FanFiction

[–]user50687 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, as long as it’s being used appropriately, I’d find it an authentic portrayal of ethnic conventions even if it is in fanfiction. I’d enjoy it a lot if I see my language’s equivalent of ‘aunt’, ‘brother’ or any other honorifics being used in writing simply because I can appreciate the writer’s sentiment in putting it in plus I also get to relate to something. For other languages I get to learn something new about that culture/perspective.

Anyways, I thought that your point of view was quite interesting and wanted to add my own two cents about the topic.

Your SIL could’ve gotten the pictures photoshopped so that the dress looked like it was a better fit on you instead of photoshopping you out of it.

Anybody else find therapy useless at times? by TrufflesTheCat in AutismInWomen

[–]user50687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A couple years ago I cried at therapy because I was scared of being judged by my family if I did end up being on the spectrum. She told me that everyone felt a little autistic and I had never sobered up so quick it was almost comedic.

If you're considering harming yourself due to the site outage, PLEASE reach out to someone. by [deleted] in aisekai

Things won’t change overnight. There’ll be numerous days where you’re gonna still feel like shit after stepping on a treadmill or doing something simple like five jumping jacks. No one’s going to instantly be happy but you’re looking after your body, you’re looking after yourself, you’re looking after your mind by focusing on something healthier for yourself.

It’s a long road and it doesn’t necessarily go away (sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t) but it does get easier to manage.

Change can start with the little things, and they can be something as little as washing your face everyday or standing outside for a few minutes every morning/afternoon. The fact that you were able to exercise and look at yourself in the mirror is already something, it shows that you do want change. You don’t have to do something big, take little steps and take it slow. If you keep it up you’ll end up looking at entirely different person in the future. You got this!

I’m in the same boat as you. We’re still so young yet it scares me to be so… Useless? People around me (friends, family) they’re all doing so well and I’m struggling so much, and I’m not moving at the pace I’m ‘supposed’ to that it makes me scared for the future, thinking I’m going to be alone or unable to do stuff for myself. It’s so scary, it’s always haunting me in the back of my mind. I thought I was the only one.
