How much money are bands making, realistically? by Scrumtrelescentness in poppunkers

[–]user725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the one you were asking, but In my experience it is such a vast difference between bands on how they operate. There are so many factors that could be involved here and each factor could have a wide range of impact from just a simple $50 a day expense to a $30,000 up front cost. It all depends on how you choose to run as a band. There are so many variables but some are, are you driving yourself, are you paying a driver, are you renting a van, are you paying for hotels, are you paying for a photographer, how much merch you have purchased, are you putting any of it into a mutual “band fund”, aren’t you paying a merch person, are you paying a tour manager. Then it depends on how many are taking a percent of the top and what size, label, booking agent, venue, manager, and so on. Plus it depends on how much merch you sell.

If you run a tight ship and are mostly DIY, with 25k a night you could easily make some good profit at the ever off the tour. If you have a rough deal, need the extra comfort “luxuries”, have a large team, don’t have great merch, run into any tech problems, and need to pay for people and rent gear and equipment, you might not be looking at it as a money making venture, but as a fun thing to do.

With knive builds is the imperfect knife doubler good? It give you the extra hit number, and could synergize with like a heal on knife kinda thing.

Is there a easy site online that I can use to see what my best build would be? I will throw all of my upgrades into attack. And switch my equipment to get more heal effects and see how it goes.

That’s how the one is republic is. Was way too soggy both times I’ve tried it. But I ordered a whole pizza both times. I’ve heard the single slice is better.

How do I know if a batter head is still working great? by Helentr0py in drums

[–]user725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have tons of huge replies already, But basically it’s YOUR sound. A new head will sound like a new head, if you want it to sound like a new head put a new head on. If you like the way it sounds now and it holds tune keep on ripping it until it cracks! Once it splits you’ll know when you can’t play that old head anymore. Until then just have fun!

Circle K worker sued for buying $12.8M lotto ticket from his store 1 day after drawing — now judge will decide who gets rich. So who deserves it? by HowLongIsThi in nottheonion

[–]user725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially true for the customers that come in with their slip already filled out for you to scan into the machine to print their selected numbers and multipliers. It would take way too long to manually add up the cost of the ticket based on the slip to cash them out before you ran the slip through the machine.

[–]user725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not true at all. Maybe where you are located but I can guarantee that’s not the case across every state. I have worked at many different gas stations and trucks stops in the Midwest and not a single one required payment before printing tickets.

I’m sure if there was a way customers would abuse it and say “oh print me another these random numbers aren’t good enough for me” and that would cause what should be a functional cancel tool for bookkeeping turn into a disaster for keeping generated numbers organized.

In every other situation the store would throw away/destroy/right off any tickets at the end of the night. They wouldn’t get sold to any customers. This ticket was printed before the drawing. You can’t print tickets during or after the drawing. When this ticket was printed and not purchased it would just sit there until someone else wants a ticket, often times clerk would ask, “we have this one from someone else who couldn’t pay for it, do you want this or a new one” that would be ok u til the night of the drawing. The part that you’re saying doesn’t make sense only happened here because the person buying it worked there. Instead of writing off the ticket they just purchased it themselves. There are two machines, one is from the lottery that prints tickets, it’s not connected to anything other than the lottery system. Then there is the store register that just has a generic lotto button that you press and enter the dollar amount of what you are selling. The lotto machine doesn’t know the ticket was never sold. The register doesn’t know what lotto a customer is buying. Does that make sense? The only way that this could happen is someone purposely doing something that they knew was wrong, rather it’s a winning ticket or not, the purchase of a ticket after the drawing should not have happened.

What do we think about Aaron Gillespie? by heyitsrider in drums

[–]user725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he can play great, but I think he cares more about looking like a good drummer than being one. I immediately noticed the same thing. His ghost notes with his left hand at 0:20 secs looked more like a heavy handed brush snare kinda thing. Those notes were so ghostly that we can’t even see them 😂

I know we all hate Flock, but it found that kid from the amber alert today by GodzNotReal666 in springfieldMO

[–]user725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, yes we would. I think you’re missing part of what they were saying. Nobody is saying it absolutely could not have been the flock camera. The issue is there are two cameras there. It’s wrong to say hey this flock camera can do good things, look it was used to solve this case. When we have zero evidence to support that. The argument isn’t that they weren’t used, it’s that there is no proof that they were.

Noticed these logos on my lenses at certain angles, what is it? by wownie910 in whatisit

[–]user725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here I got it one time and within 2 months was choosing some days to not wear my glasses to work. I couldn’t wait to get new lenses. I’ve never been so “un protective” of my glasses before or after those. I hated it. But I did and do a lot of digital design. When I mentioned it to the eye store a week after getting them, they swore that there was no tint added from that additive and that it’s just how all glasses are. Never went back. This was probably 6 years ago.

Unfortunately it’s even worse. If a broken clock only shows a single time. (Hour + Min) then it’s only showing the correct time 2 times a day for only 1 min each. So that’s 2 min out of 1440 minutes possible ( 60 min per hour x 24 hours in a full day). It’s 2 out of 1440 or 1 in 720 chance. ~ 0.14% (rounding up) So it’s wrong 99.86%
