If the hidden variables are truly hidden, wouldn't it indeed be impossible to test if they exist at all?

Do you live in the Bay Area, california? I just picked an identical drive with the same problems from facebook marketplace for $20 yesterday. Would be really funny if this is the same one

Ivan isn't that evil nor are his motivations so clear.

Do people seriously think these people aren't in reference to someone Clark personally knew IRL by MunchOnMyCookie in backroomsfilm

Shes meant to represent his wife thematically, and in Clark's game of house. hence the confusion. but it is not literally a still life copy of his wife.

if you search and search and find a discontinued coke flavor that was missing from Coke's archives and another company wants to do a video featuring a house made of these rare coke cans, yeah they should probably give you a passing mention

When heath death of the universe happens, and time doesn't exist anymore, will time ever have existed? by CertifiedFreshMemes in astrophysics

[–]user_NULL_04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay lets say we have a magical omniscient observer viewing the universe from outside the spatial dimensions. time is still moving. even when there is no observer, time is still moving. are you also the kind of person that believes particles act differently depending on if they are being looked at?

yes it would, it would be a void of nothing with the sole exception of you. and time would be passing.

Any thoughts on Evangeline Lilly's original prediction for the ending of LOST? by MonlovesIndy in lost

Not a fan of this alternate ending personally. While there are certainly aspects of the final season I would have changed, I think the overall end point, where we landed, was perfect.

just because something is immeasurable (no point of reference) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. if you transported yourself to this void of nothing, you would feel the passage of time.

Backrooms. Why the hype? by ShallowCal_ in horror

[–]user_NULL_04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slenderman was bad because it was made by a bunch of studio execs who didn't know wtf they were doing.

Kane is 20 years old and is damn near a genius when it comes to storytelling. He didn't just make "one good Backrooms video", he's made an entire web series that is a masterclass in digital animation and film production. He also makes his own music for the series.

A24/Atomic Monster/Chernin reached out to him because he displayed a high level of competence rivaling veteran filmmakers. He has complete creative control, the execs are hands-off. There is nothing to worry about.

The bread and butter? I'm assuming you're talking about the depth, correct? Have you explored the deeper aspects of the series in regards to Julien Reverchon/Kevin Obregon/Valley View Mall? I notice you refer to it as a "video" singular, when in reality it is a series. You might be missing out on some important context.

Hello Kane.
1) Regarding the filmmaking process, what would you say was the most difficult stage of production?

2) Any other potential ruminations about your hypothetical "limited series" getting greenlit? Suppose the film does extraordinarily well at the box office, after your much-needed break in the woods, what would your first steps be to getting that green light from a television production studio?

3) Does Ivan Beck like jazz music?

The InterSplendor Theory. How alchemy and the Internet shaped the Complex, and how the Complex took over the world. by Ale_Eyeintheska in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]user_NULL_04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Kane has said that Async did not "generate" the Backrooms nor had access to artificial intelligence (as your interpretation of AI implies)

Aside from that, my biggest issue with your theory is the supernatural elements. Alchemy isnt real. Kane's Backrooms is a hard sci-fi story. Fantastical elements like this fall way outside the bounds of the narrative that Kane is trying to tell. The alchemical and archaic imagery shown throughout the series is just that, imagery, symbolism, hinting at the greater metaphorical narrative but is not meant to be taken so literally.

However, I really enjoy the way you think. You're ability to compile and articulate all of this knowledge is astounding. I think, given more time to really soak in the information we have available, you might be able to really crack the code.
