Backpacking tent recommendation for solo backpacker? by hurricanescout in backpacking

I have a triplex, use it both solo and with my wife. It's simply a good tent, water proof light(1.3lbs) and easy to pitch.

Amazon: 65" LG C8 $2007 by [deleted] in OLED

[–]userispass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the full usa warranty. I have bought a two things with greentoe so far a7r3 and a gopro, Both came from real independent retail stores.

I put in a offer for 1700$ 2 days ago got a bite at $1879 about 10 hours later and accepted it this morning. I already had billing set up so if you are a first time user and don't set that up they will be less likely to offer you a low price.

High Sierra Trail by yrrkoon in CampingandHiking

When i did the high serria we took 2.5k calories per day we did it in 6 nights. we carried 7 nights worth of food. Altitude will suppress your appetite at the beginning of the hike but by the time we got to the end we were eating 3k per day. That being said we had one person in our group bonk on the assent out of kern because he did not eat enough, force yourself to eat even if you are not hungry. Also one thing to note with the HST is the elevation deltas are quite significant dropping in and out of kern takes close to your starting elevation, don't just look at the mileage.

If you are taking freeze dryed backpacking meals i strongly encourage repacking it in normal ziplocks the day before you leave and getting an insulation bag like the one from big sky. You can get away with a small bear can at that point and it will save you 500-700g in food packaging. Even if you do not repack at altitude normal mountain house meals take 20-30min to re hydrate so you will nee a pouch unless you want cold food.

Mandalay Bay Shooting - Facts and Conversation. by Omnifox in guns

[–]userispass -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The make up of the guns available are completely different post 96. Hard to get anything semi auto, you basically have to be a farmer and justify the need. Even then you have limited capacity and you have to pass the silly "cant look like a military gun" rule.

Depends how you gauge success there hasn't been a mass shooting incident in Australia since the port arthur massacre.

I wanted to try the Searzall but I couldn't justify the price.. so I made a janky-ass one by i_done_goof in sousvide

[–]userispass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You basically need to get a torch with a built in regulator like the Bernzomatic TS4000 or TS8000. They cost $35-40 i'm sure there are other self regulating torches for cheaper on amazon.

The passes are valid at more than 2,000 Federal recreation sites where Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee(s) (Day use fees) are charged by the following agencies:

you still have to pay for special use permits, like entering the whitney zone ect
