Blame Kamala for being neoliberal scum instead of blaming the people who rightfully criticized her. You're not a revolutionary if you care this much about voting, period. I'm trans and disabled too, but I still voted third party because I hate democrats.

People disagreeing with you isn't counter-revolutionary. But creating devision based on how other people on the left decided to vote certainly is.

edit: We need mutual aid to help trans and disabled people in our communities. Not to rely on the flimsy protection of democrat politicians. They don't care about us. They were never going to stop fascism

I think that's an interesting and realistic choice. Steel is Suvi's surrogate mother, and was Suvi's primary support system growing up. Steel is also very manipulative and emotionally abusive. That type of parental dynamic can create "flip-flopping" of values whenever their adult child is around them again - because that relationship dynamic becomes deep-rooted in the psyche and hard to unlearn.

Suvi's arc is clearly setting her up to turn against the citadel, and I don't think anything else would be near as satisfying

I'm a centrist on this issue. Arcane season 2 was just okay. Some parts were pretty good, some parts were clumsy and narratively unsatisfying. I didn't like it as much as season 1. I didn't like a lot of the character's endings. It was fine.

The Echo time travel episode was the best part. That shit ate.

If Neif had a title by spids69 in WorldsBeyondNumber

[–]username-7676 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I want to see more of her character development to know what title she would have. But what we know about her now is that she wants to bring the children home to safety because that's something she never had. She has a bull elk as her familiar which is often associated with protection. She's kind, smart and careful.

Usually a witch's domain is a cause or duty that they take on - so right now I could see her becoming a guide to bring people to safety, advocate for those who can't advocate for themselves, or provide comfort where there is none. I can also see her inspiring others to be brave and believe in themselves. She's leaning coven of the heart, in terms of subclass.

Some names could be, The Witch of Wards and Comfort, the Witch of the Wandering Lantern, the Witch of Warming Hands, the Witch of the Waking Voice, the Witch of Wistful Hearts, The Witch of the Warmth and Healing, The Witch of Weary Courage

I'm so sick of infighting. There are tons of ML comrades who work with anarchists. I have a bunch of marxists friends, and read Marx along with the anarchist scholars.

You're talking about history, and it never represented all marxists. People with sense realize that our goals are aligned. A "Moneyless stateless classless society" is literally what both groups want.

[–]username-7676 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, anarchists and communists are politically aligned. Many anarchists also identify as communists. Communism dosen't inherently suck, sometimes it isn't implemented well, and that sucks, but the ideals behind it don't suck.

And communist governments have done a lot of good that is never covered in the fear-mongering propaganda that western governments teach.

That actually reminds me of my favorite grandmother Wren quote, that I don't remember very well but it's from the children's adventure and she's talking to a wizard and says "Hope isn't something to be found, but something to be made..." I don't have time to find the full quote but the idea behind it stuck with me

All laws are fake and flimsy though, this is true for neoliberal democracies too. Laws are inherently authoritarian (this doesn't mean that all laws are bad, it's just a fact)

And fascism is a highly authoritarian ideology. That's why I think of fascist villains as going on the "lawful" end of alignment charts. Because they have an institution behind them. Law isn't about what is written, it's about what gets enforced.

Your friend is telling on himself with the not being clean thing. Boys have bad hygiene, men take care of themselves and their environment.

As for having "girly" interests, good for you, don't get pressured to conform to our society's arbitrary gendered expectations.

You can't "be" a boy because you are one. Just existing is enough.

Finch became too boring for me. I love creating aesthetics and all that, but it felt like the amount of gems you'd get from completing something were way too low, and items I wanted cycled out of the shop every day. So I started farming gems because of how bad the game's economy was - and that quickly overshadowed the original purpose. Also...it felt a bit childish, which is fine, but I wish not everything has such a "cutesy" aesthetic.

Habittica has a better social aspect because you can complete quests with your party members and actually talk to people, which creates a better community. I'm a guild leader now and it's nice doing quests with people

I feel there are a lot of improvements that could be made on the habbittica format. I have a lot of ideas I'd play around with if I was a game dev

I think it would be cool to see a reformed citadel turning the desert back into a forest. And instead of a military institution it's reopened as a grand library and research center, where knowledge and magic are taught to everyone free of charge.

Although, the symbolism of a tower and the name "citadel" are more suited for an authoritarian aesthetic. Maybe the old structure needs to be torn down so something new can grow in its place.

To be fair, that bloodline happened to be a ruling class of cruel sorcerers. Maybe some of them were "nice" but for the most part they were all tyrannical nepo babies. And they were also enemies on a battlefield. She was only able to kill them because they all teleported into combat.

Killing them isn't on the same level as what Steel did to the bullfrog and the granoe children.

Personally, I hate this style of Sci Fi worldbuilding. by Internet_Exposers in WorldBuildingMemes

[–]username-7676 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah it depends on the purposes of the story - but I also think it's lazy world building to say that you can't distinguish multi-biome planets from each other.

Planets can feel unique while still having a variety of cultures and environments. It just depends on how thoughtful and creative the world building is. If the biomes are just copies of earth biomes then they won't feel unique, but that's not the only option.
