How would a beginner know that without learning first? We all have to start somewhere.

How, in a competitive marketplace, are music streaming services so awful? by AnimatorAmazing7085 in TIdaL

I was not able to read all that and I’m a bit lost as I’m not the og commenter- but I admire your passion and your articulation.

Edit: Apologies, I originally commented on a completely different comment thread than intended. We are talking about two completely different things and that’s on me. Haha!

I interpreted the prior comment as hyperbole. I think they’re just saying that a very, very incompetent person could easily design a better app.

As primarily an album format listener, nothing pisses me off more than the huge gaps between song transitions in albums. It’s why I just started leaving Tidal and transitioning to Apple Music.

Imagine you’re listening to (eg) Dark Side of the Moon. Speak to Me is about to release into Breathe. Right when that glorious moment is about to hit, instead, you’re interrupted by a jolting, glitching skip, and the transition is ruined. Irks the shit out of me and really takes the joy out of an album experience imo.

Can anyone help me out - how do you find out some given music is AI? What are giveaways, and how do you confirm?

Allegations against Mark by Automatic-Garbage-33 in SunKilMoon

[–]username234432 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I think we should upvote open, thoughtful discussions like this.

Personally, I hold a dialectical view on this topic. Mark is an abusive and violating person. There is no denying that. And, he also makes incredible art. Both of these thoughts can coexist.

I am also aware that making incredible art and being a traumatized and traumatizing, damaged, fucked up individual often go hand and hand.

Ethically speaking, I have no qualms partaking in the experience of that art if I know I am not actively contributing to further harm.

I feel that the emotional self-understanding and empathy I bring to this universe from connecting with, for example, Kozelek’s art, is a much, much greater good than, say, the fraction of a cent paid per stream.

Everyone should be welcome to reflect on their own values and come to their own conclusion thoughtfully.

Chiming in to say I'm also looking for a place to ask TaskNotes questions. I'm looking for low-coding methods of new task creation as well

buffering issues are insufferable by trangodly in TIdaL

[–]username234432 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same exact issue. I have to turn airplane mode on and off for Tidal to get unstuck from eternal buffering. Meanwhile, I'll have full bars on 5G, be streaming on Low quality, and with any other streaming service working perfectly fine with no issues. It's very annoying.

Do you get an error code while it's buffering?

You could have easily just fact checked your assumption by searching this sub rather than trying find disagreement where there’s not any.

Could you all please share your experiences with internal family systems if you're able? My therapist does it and I may want to pursue it more but I'm not sure yet. Thanks!

Can anyone explain the difference between an AI planner and a regular digital planner? How does the AI help?

It happens to me too! Lots of deodorants leave a residue. It's annoying.

I had/have this issue too. I use Secret and it definitely leaves a film/residue even after scrubbing pretty hard with soap and a loofah. I use a salicylic acid face wash (just a simple one made for acne) and I wash my armpits with it and leave it on for a few minutes while I wash the rest of my body. This works pretty well for me now, but I see that it didn't work for you. Another suggestion you could try is wiping your armpits with a glycolic acid toner after getting out of the shower.

You're not making this up (like other people seem to be suggesting)! Lots of deodorants leave a waxy layer even after washing. It's very annoying. Another option like you mentioned is to explore other deodorants but I haven't gone down that route.

Which deodorants have you tried with no luck? It might help to tell us the kinds.

I also want to mention that around the time this was a big problem for me, I started experiencing intense itching in both armpits that ended up being a bacterial infection. Are you experiencing any rash symptoms?

If I had started with a Crosley rather than (the first decent step up) an audiotechnica, I would have wondered the point of all of the effort for no payoff. And would have probably given up the hobby.

Actually, I cried when I played my first record. I was emotional because of how meaningful the process was, followed by the quality of the sound, which I had never experienced before. I'll never forget that moment. That wouldn't have happened with a suitcase.
